I've got two of these carts: one with the regular wheels and one with the sand tracks. I live on the south end of Phuket Island in Thailand and sea kayak three or four times a week at different beaches. The sand here is composed primarily of ground coral and is quite granular and sharp. The plastic axles and bushings for the wheels are being ground to dust. The bottom side of the axles is wearing such that just holding up the cart without the kayak and spinning the wheels produces a large side to side wobble and just a few revolutions of the wheel. Rolling resistance is noticeably increased. The cart is basically a sound idea and it does break down quickly and goes in a hatch but, for the money, a longer lasting axle/bushing system is needed. I do not recommend this cart.

I recently started strapping it to the back of my kayak upside down rather than taking it apart when I'm on the water. I use a bungee cord in addition to the strap, so it works perfectly for securing it to the kayak deck behind my seat. I also run the strap through the wheels in case they fall off.

I have an Ascend FS12 which was discontinued and for good reason. One is that none of the kayak trolleys work with it, not even the Ascend trolley that I purchased shortly after getting the kayak. This is a sit in kayak that has a recessed hull with a spine running from end to end. I love the kayak for it's stability and storage capabilities. I tried the C-Tug trolley which still would not work on my kayak due to the shape of my hull. Then I tried reversing the pads and glory be it worked. Hope this helps other kayakers with the same issues.

Hi, thanks for the compliment. We loved it! It makes it especially nice when you get a good guide and ours was great. He did say it's better to go in the afternoon as before noon they dump bus loads of guests and it gets crowded and hard to pay attention. We wish we had time to see Herculaneum too but just didn't have time. Cheers! (btw I love your channel you have a new subscriber)

I have the sand-track model; bigger wheels.... AMAZING cart! I ordered it by mistake; wanting the one with smaller wheels so I cold store it in my kayak. Im keeping the bigger one for better portaging. I flip it over and strap it to my WS Tsunami165 and then Im off!

Wow, nice intro, Robert! I like the use of after-effect/motion style intro! Nicely captured vlog. I can see how using a Gimbal will make your videos even better! I hope you get one soon! BTW: You've just earned a new SUBSCRIBER, because I enjoyed your travel vlogs, and enjoyed your awesome personality. <thumbs up!> =)

Thanks! And back atcha! I’m still trying to nail down which gimbal would suit my needs. Have you looked at the Removu K1? I’m leaning that way for it simplicity.

Thanks for the support, Robert! I haven't used the Removu K1, but that one does look pretty darn cool! The best choice for you, depends on what type of device you like to record with. In public, I like to keep it simple with a Point & Shoot or my Cell Phone. Since I end up using my Cell Phone the most, the DJI OSMO Mobile 2 was the perfect choice for me. There are tons of other Gimbals out there, but the ones that work with smart phones are my favorite because they have the tracking feature (thanks to the bluetooth communication). Good luck with your research! Have a great day, my friend! =)
