DIY Front Bike Rack & Basket
This is my do it yourself (DIY) front rack and basket solution for the KBO Ranger, but it could be adapted for any bike with front rack mounting points. This cost less than $50 in materials to make.
Note: I was not given anything to promote this bike, this is a referral link. I would have made this video regardless.
Get $55 off a KBO Bike - kbobike.refr.cc/tdalyas
I do this for fun, and was hesitant about pushing products, but I do have a number of people asking for links so I did sign up as an Amazon Associate. If something is garbage I'll tell you.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
The following are affiliate links to items I use with this bike:
Park Tools Spoke Wrench For Square Nipples - amzn.to/3Ml5gJL
--I tried two other key type (multi-size) spoke wrenches before getting this, and it works WAY better.
BLITZU Bike Tail Light 2 pack - amzn.to/3Ml5C33
--I really like these, they're inexpensive, bright, have a few different mounting possibilities and best of all when one stopped working and I sent an e-mail they asked for my address and sent a replacement within a couple days.
MECHOW Handlebar Bike Mirror - amzn.to/3td41Ws
-- I haven't tried a bunch, but this one checked all the boxes and after getting 1 I have equipped all three of our e-bikes with them because they're pretty good quality.
FOMTOR 31.8x100mm Adjustable Stem - amzn.to/3td41Ws
-- I mentioned that I hadn't received it yet, since then I have and it has worked out well. BUT you do need to get Headset spacers ( amzn.to/3td41Ws ) and use one with it to mount it properly.
GOZENS Tire Pressure Monitor Cap - amzn.to/3NkpkgN
-- I have these on my tires for a quick visual check of tire pressure. I like them a lot but some people have said they have had tires lose air with them on. I have not had that experience.
Cloud 9 Cruiser Select Saddle, 10.5" x 10.75" - amzn.to/3myc3FH
-- This seat is comfortable and well known, but it's such a personal thing, try a few out!
FLATOUT Tire Sealant Sportsman Formula - amzn.to/3Q4PR3d
-- This has worked well for me so far to quickly seal small holes. I did have one gash fairly recently that was about an inch long which it could not seal.
Phone Holder - amzn.to/3Q5q6jA
-- This phone holder is fairly inexpensive and grips my large phone very well. It comes with silicon webs to increase the hold, but I use it without them. Have equipped all our e-bikes with this one.
WSDCAM Bike Alarm - amzn.to/3av3t7A
-- I think there are a few different brands that appear to be the exact same product. A little extra security, these work well and are LOUD. Have equipped all our e-bikes with them after testing with one.
OKG Bike Chain Lock 12mm links, 16mm shackle NOOSE - amzn.to/3NkqcC5
This lock is so much more versatile for our e-bikes than others I have tried including the Kryptonite Evolution Mini. Cheaper and more secure with longer reach because of it's noose capability. Hands down I'd get for all of our e-bikes if I hadn't bought others previously.

Quick & Easy Bike Spoke Replacement if the Nipple is Still Good (Not the 'right' way)
มุมมอง 416ปีที่แล้ว
This is a quick and easy way to replace a spoke. The correct way would be to remove the wheel, remove the tire, remove the tube, replace the nipple, thread the spoke, use a spoke tension tool to check the tension and true the wheel. This skips all of that and replaces the spoke in place and can be done 'out in the field'. I do this for fun and not to push products, but I do share what I use and...

Stop The Flop! $5, 5 minute DIY Bike Wheel Stabilizer
มุมมอง 2.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This DIY wheel stabilizer is implemented on a KBO Ranger Electric Cargo Bike, but could be done in the same manner for any bike that has front mounts available, or adapted slightly for ones that don't. The flop can be an annoyance on any bike that has a center kickstand which leaves the front wheel elevated off the ground. The spring assortment was purchased from Harbor Freight for $4.49. We us...
First Grocery Run on the KBO Ranger Cargo Bike

A couple different storage options examined and a view of my haul. E-Bikes are making practical longer, utilitarian trips and usage beyond pleasure and exercise. But it's dependent on having practical storage available. I'm using my KBO Ranger Electric Cargo bike, one of three bikes that I currently own. The others are a KBO Breeze and a Lectric XP 2.0. Patch an E-Bike Rear Tire WITHOUT Removing the Wheel (Demonstrated on a Lectric XP 2.0)
มุมมอง 24K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This is an informational video showing you how to patch a rear bike tire without removing the wheel, with no tools except for a mini bike pump and a small patch kit. You can accomplish this in 10-20 minutes on your first attempt if the tube is patchable. On an e-bike with a rear motor it is a major hassle to remove the wheel, so if you don't have to, then don't! This should work with any e-bike...

You need only pull a small section of the tube that has the puncture. 👍🏻 Not the entire tube.

You know what but I wouldn't hold your breath too much on that flat out I ran over a thorn yesterday and I had the flat out in my tire. I pulled the thorn out spun the tire around spun it around and the tire went flat. I had to go to my local bike shop. They couldn't put a patch on it like you. Did yours? But they wouldn't touch it because it had the Flat out in it and I don't know why it didn't work so I ended up having to buy a new tube. I just thought I'd pass that along it didn't work for me like they say it does. And the thorn really wasn't any bigger than a needle so I don't know why it didn't work

Thanks for taking the time to make video I am considering this exact bike and would likely add an extended carrier as well. The rest is from a place of experience and looking out for kids. I would be concerned about the pine splitting. It has very little strength along grain. Any reason you didn’t use plywood it would be much stronger and resisted to splitting thus safer. A young child can break a 1 inch pine board with a bare hand or foot but would break their hand or foot on plywood. I see I video you actually used plywood I would edit the beginning so people don’t use regular pine board. Thanks again.
