I put this channel together strictly for the fun of sharing some home studio recordings that I make during my spare time. Nothing serious, just jammin on my guitar and writing about whatever I feel like at the moment. I don't claim to be an awesome musician with expert guitar technique and precision playing-- on the contrary, I think I'm quite sloppy. But that don't mean I can't have some fun rockin out!

This patient wished to improve the appearance of his crowded, chipped, yellow lower front teeth. This was very challenging due to his left central incisor (tooth #24) being positioned so far behind the other adjacent teeth.

Reverse-seared Wagyu New York Strip Steak

1) Season meat 2) Cook meat in oven set at 200° F 3) Remove meat from oven when meat reaches 120° F internal temperature 4) Sear meat on cast iron skillet with olive oil & butter until internal temperature reaches 130-135° F 5) Rest meat for 5-10 minutes & serve

The lighting made the meat look a bit light pink when I cut the first bite out, but believe me, it was perfectly medium rare. U can tell by the photo at the end of the video. Internal temperature of the steak was 135°F medium rare with a nicely seared seasoned crust. It was tender & delicious!
Zero style points with that meat thermometer. A real G does it by sight/feel.
U ain't wrong, I can't argue with that. I never claimed to be a pro. I'm just a regular dad trying to make sure I don't wreck a very expensive wagyu steak. But for lower grade choice or prime steaks, I typically just go by look & feel.

Thank u! Fortunately, the wife was able to help with the camera work once I started searing & cutting. I may have to invest in one of those head cameras.
Here's a tip when seasoning.. season from up top more so it distributes evenly and just pat down.
That's a good idea, but I was trying to capture everything I was doing inside the camera shot. Plus it was just awkward trying to season & reposition the meat with one hand while holding the camera with the other hand. I guess I was just more focused on trying not to drop the camera. Lol

I'm sure yours will turn out great! The technique is actually quite simple. U just have to be a little patient & keep an eye on that thermometer. Worth the wait!

Sounds great! Did you install the D-tuna yourself?
I find the pickups very articulate & percussive when chunkin out on muted riffs. They also possess a nice amount of heat & sustain on the pinch harmonics, open string harmonics, as well as tapped harmonics. And yes, I did install the D-tuna myself, with a little help from TH-cam. The enclosed installation manual didn't seem to be much help.
Like the green to it's different, and your addition of the d-tuner is a good idea.

That is correct. I bought & installed the Dtuna the same day I bought the Standard.

Thanks! No issues installing the D-tuna, although I found the TH-cam tutorials more useful than the enclosed installation manual. I do notice that the other strings ever-so-slightly go sharp when the low E-string drops to D. This happens even tho my bridge is completely flat/flush against the guitar body, meaning I can't pull up on the whammy bar. I also realize that even Eddie never tuned his guitars perfectly, so it might not have been too much of a concern for him. So I guess if it's good enuff for the king himself, then it should be good enuff for me. Lol

Gracias, amigo! I'm using the amp distortion on my Peavey XXL, no distortion pedal. It's got a really nice snarl & bite.

Thanks, Bassman! The Wolfgang did not come with the Dtuna, but I bought one at the same time & installed it right away. I love its convenience to be able to go Drop D with a quick pull of the knob, then go back to regular tuning just by pushing it back in. I also love how the pickups respond when I roll back the volume knob-- great cleanup & crunchy tones. The Hulk is definitely a lot of fun to play!
