Such an engaging watch and amazing commentary, well worth the click. The thumbnail does the video injustice! You have my permission to be more clickbaity with it - more people NEED to find you 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hah! Thanks for watching! I'll keep the click baiting permission in mind. It's definitely NOT my forte, but I'll keep working on it. Hope to see you for the next one!
@@Anivangelist Reckon it's worth split testing the title? Totally up to you, but I have hunch that removing "Trillion Game" to save vital characters could help, as this anime probably isn't that popular yet for too many people to be searching it, and if they are, you have the keyword in your description anyways. I have a feeling that a title like "Did This Anime Character Really Outsmart Google?!" or variations of that could be worth trying - people who know Trillion Game will be able to tell the video is about the anime anyway based off the thumbnail. As for the Thumbnail, I think a picture of Gaku whizzing away on his PC with the Google Logo floating above it, and dollar bills flying around the place could be good. Would make me want to click personally.
im still looking for an answer ? do i watch the anime or the live action or both ?
I mean, I'm biased - it's in the name, so...the anime. That said, of what I've seen of the live action it seems solid. Based on the episode length of the live action, I think the first cour of the anime will end in the same spot, but it looks like the second cour starts immediately. So if you want to binge consume the story through a non-manga medium, the anime is where I'd start.
@@Anivangelist yh tbh idk what happened to me but since i started watching anime when i was young i cannot go back to movies or series . the average plain same old same old anime i find 1000000x better than the best and most highly rated series and ive tried again and again but cannot go back to watching real people . i think the one miracle was severance the series but ive never watch a movie or series and enjoyed it other than that in probably a decade . i watched ep 1 of live action and was so off put by how fake everything seem his facial expression the way he talk and acts is so fake but in the anime it seems so natural and cool when the guy makes his jokes and does stunts .
I have a semi-educated guess on that - I'm a weirdo, majored in theatre performance and mathematics. From my theatrical perspective, I'd guess that it's probably to do with the style vs. medium. Some things work better in certain mediums. For example, musical theatre acting vs. acting for the camera are drastically different techniques. If you express yourself as largely as you would for a 1000 seat theatre on a camera you'll look like a lunatic. The educated guess (because I'm a Midwestern white guy) would be that Japanese entertainment culture has more tolerance for "larger-than-life" expressions - maybe it's an East vs. West tradition thing to boot? It works for me in animation / musical theatre, but live-action camera work or stage theatre it doesn't. The world is vast and life is weird, right?
as a ctf player that has gone to travel finals and done tons of ADs this ctf was comcial found it cuz of yoru video, my team and I are having a field day with this lmafo there are a lot more stupid small things that are so accurate its cursed
It's definitely heightened realism, but such is storytelling. I feel like the series gets the gist across for a lay audience (that's the writer's shtick - Dr. Stone is fun, but I'm sure it makes materials scientists chuckle / furious). Thanks for watching, and good luck at your next competition!
Yo its may silly but why your model is a well a priest?
Not silly at all! Most of the time, I'm not so deep into IT stuff. Since I'm the Anivangelist, I'm a reverend of anime :)
oh welp, just notice your name meaning now haha.@@Anivangelist
I had worked at a startup before. It blows my mind how this anime is so accurate about the hustle of entrepreneurship.
Same - half my career has been at start-ups, and it was fun AND brutal. The thing that kills me (and this AI arc is going to exemplify it) is how accurate the amount of "fake it til you make it" is for that kind of life. Thanks for watching!
Under rated video bro
Thanks for watching, and the compliment! Trying to create a hyper focused niche is hard, so I really appreciate it!
nice vid!
Thanks for watching! I'm excited to cover the upcoming episodes...especially this AI arc!

Slowly but surely - happy to have you aboard!
I saw 6 eps thus far and this anime is pretty good and funny
Working on the next video covering episodes 3 through 5; my *guess* is that episode 8 is where the next major project will start, and it's a wild ride! Thanks for watching!
Such a good anime! Makes me feel like even I can start a company lol
It's a great introduction to how parts of the underbelly of business works. Thanks for watching!
Love this
I'm glad! I like this kind of anime history dive. Hoping to do some more in the future!
@Anivangelist great job I like when you step outside of your lane!
Trillion Game Japanese Drama is good as well
I haven't seen more than a clip or two of the live-action adaptation, but I intend to mention it in a future video for sure. The official reviews aren't bad; and between those, your comment, and the fact they're making a follow up film releasing next year, I say it's probably worth a watch!
Good shit bro 💪 great video
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it - now go enjoy Trillion Game! :P
@@Anivangelist I might just do that
Epic
It's definitely something :P
I'm def watching this but: Anyone who recognizes the pure brilliance of Trillion Game automatically gets my approval. Dude, this anime is clearly god-tier, how is this not blowing up like Frieren?
I agree, and it's not just because it's by one of my favorite manga authors and in my professional wheelhouse! My honest opinion is that I saw very little advertising for it on Crunchyroll beyond a couple of articles saying it was coming. Even once it premiered, I never saw it on my front page carousel, despite having watched all of Dr. Stone and a number of Seinen titles. I wonder if there was some kind of agreement to try to tie it into the live-action film coming in 2025, so they're saving advert resources for that?
@@Anivangelist Maybe, but you'd think they'd try with the anime still since they could use the anime a kind of marketing angle too? Seems odd.
There was also a live-action series of season 1 which was released last year. It's streaming on Netflix. The upcoming movie is a sequel.
Wow you're super underrated. You will definetely blow up soon, this video is great!!!
Thank you - this was a nice lunch hour surprise! I'm working on the security championship episodes now (episodes 3 through 5, and 5 came out today). Hope to see you back for that one. Or, if you've got a series you'd like me to dive into, feel free to let me know!

Thanks for the recomendation!
Of course - that's kind of my whole thing :) Thanks for watching!
Your content is great
Thanks for the compliment, and for watching! Now I have just have to get others to feel that way too! :)
Nice Vid!
Thank you! Hope to see you for the next one on Ep. 3 and 4 and the Security Championship!
American sized appetite?!😂😂😂
Theres no good way to have an opinion on this. All i can say is the past isnt the best. But everything that was made shouldn't be demonized. Some of it. Yes. But not all of it. We have moved forward a lot. We are not perfect. But we have moved forward from what was made in the past. Good video.
I agree, there's a lot of nuance when dissecting the past, especially the art of the past. It's important to learn from it and the context in which it was made. Thanks for watching!
@@Anivangelist I'm happy. You seem like a genuinely good guy who's willing to talk about opposing thoughts without starting an uproar.
I think you should read the claymore Manga and then do this video over again. Claymore are created from dragons. Is explained in the manga. Claymore can also can regenerate to a degree. Some can recreate limbs and others can’t, but can reattach them. Ex, Claire. She can’t fully regenerate only reattach. So it’s more so a fast healing.
Solid counterpoints - source material matters! While I like manga, animation and voice over were always my passions back when I was a working actor, so the "anime-only" badge can apply more often than not. But, sounds like I'll have to make the time for this one. Thanks for watching!
@@Anivangelist trust me, the manga is so much better. I started with the anime as well, then I had to know what happened so I read the manga. Twice. The ending is different than the manga. More background on the characters, and a differences between Yoma, Abyssal, dragons and claymores. Better fights. And you find out but the other 1 claymore, what happened to them.

"Ms. Frizzle's great grandpa" sent me. I just watched all of this anime in the last week and it immedately went into my top ten.
I do what I can for the cause. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
You're absolutely right about me loving this show, and now I'm hungry
Such a wholesome and chill series with food.
Thanks for this video! I'm entering a phase in my life where most anime doesn't feel like it's 'for' me any more so this show was really comforting. Seeing adults deal with adult problems, all over a nice drink ;)
I understand that feeling; I still watch a fair amount of anime but my favorites are definitely like Bartender. I'm happy to cover other series that are more Seinen / Josei, especially if viewers like you have particular genres / themes you like. Thanks for watching!
Way to be classy dropping that link for people who may need it.
No shame in admitting when help is needed. Everyone has a cross to bear, but it's easier when you don't bear it alone!
I came to this bar for a job interview. To my surprise owner was the one who was talking to me. And interview was going good, dude was a huge movie buff and we spend half time talking movies. The he asked me: "what else u enjoy" and I said 'well, I enjoy anime and..." he didn't let me finish my sentence and said: HOLY SHIT, U NEED TO WATCH BARTENDER IT AMAZING AND YOU WILL LEARN SO MUCH Edit It was the original one... yeap, im old...
I appreciate the plight of aging myself - I too am no longer a weebersnapper. Thanks for watching!
Yea Bartender was a great watch for sure. Just so soothing and relaxing
I really enjoyed it too - I'd loved to get into more drinks with more seasons, but c'est la vie. Thanks for watching!
Idk if it lifts your spirits, most of the stories are supposed to be kinda sad if anything
A fair point, though I'd say "poignant" rather than sad. Plus, I love a good double entendre! Thanks for watching!
I love this anime and I’m glad to finally find someone talking about it!
Me too! Thank you for watching! It was shorter than I'd hoped, but I love slice of life series with a passionate fervor for a particular topic. Food Wars! and Restaurant to Another World for food, Dr. Stone for science, etc.
Good stuff Rev!
Thank you, Senpai :) This one was a fun little adventure around the chaos of summer.
@@Anivangelist definitely
Christianity was a Roman psyop. They couldn't defeat the Jews' beliefs, so they gave them their savior to divide them. And here we are.
Preach my brother, preach.
Great, now i gotta re watch the series.
Happy to help? Thanks for watching!
I would argue against the "monster inside" argument you present as a case of Claymore being superior. While Clare has a supernatural entity inside her that wrestles with her for control and could literally become a monster, Geralt, on the other hand could just as easily become a monster by the simple virtue of his morals being corrupted. He is tested time and again, to make a desicion. To do what he believes is right, or to become a monster like so many others. A monster they believe him to be. Make no mistake, the real monsters Geralt often faces, are not the Ghouls, Endregas or Werewolves. Just as often it's the common folk. 'People,' Geralt turned his head, 'like to invent monsters and monstrosities. Then they seem less monstrous themselves. When they get blind-drunk, cheat, steal, beat their wives, starve an old woman, when they kill a trapped fox with an axe or riddle the last existing unicorn with arrows, they like to think that the Bane entering cottages at daybreak is more monstrous than they are. They feel better then. They find it easier to live.' 'I'll remember that,' said Dandilion, after a moment's silence. 'I'll find some rhymes and compose a ballad about it.' 'Do. But don't expect a great applause.'
It's been a minute since I did this video, but I think what I was going for was more of Geralt has more freedom than Clare, and he has free use of his powers without losing control to a literal monster. I agree with your point about figuratively becoming a monster via moral failing, but that's part and parcel of the human condition at large. It's the extra spice of, "Oh, and even if you end up saving everyone and doing it morally / ethically / legally, you could still end up becoming a monster anyway." It's an extra layer of Fate giving you the double deuce. Thanks for watching!
Muscle mommy catgirl skin? You should have started with that!
You have to tease things things out, you know? ;) Thanks for watching!
Absolutely based and patrician opinion.
I appreciate your astute praise and keen eye, and am grateful for your chronological donation to the video. :)
Hmmm, I might be a bit biased... 😉
Hey, transparency is key! :P Thanks for watching!
Outlaw Star didn't click with me instantly just like Star Wars didn't click with me for a very very long. I took me about a decade of playing Star Wars games with at least thousand hours of game play before I became a genuine Star Wars fan. Becoming a fan of the films happened organically but only after my love of the games became a thing. The more I live in a live fictional world the more I come to enjoy it, assuming I'm having fun being part of it in the first place. Films are one and done things for me. It's why I prefer TV series over films. There's not enough Outlaw Star Content for me consume for me to grow to love it. Never will be. Now Rorouni Kenshin was my shit, you can keep your Outlaw Star.😎
As a brazilian i love how brazilians are depicted in anime, specially Dom Pedro the 2nd, Taurus Aldebaran and Mewtwo. And Michiko to Hatchin looks amazing, i have to watch it.
The tao isn't bastardized in star wars; if anything Lucas is pretty close. The Jedi are those who feel emotions but handle it in a constructive way....while the sith decide "fuck restraint, I'm going to do what I want and indulge". Luke embraces both sides by the end, and the Jedi's inability to acknowledge that love can be good is seen as a bad thing.
Given the amount of comments you've made, I clearly struck a nerve. As for the Tao - I'll cite the Film School Rejects article I linked in the video itself: "The concept of the “tao” (道) is near identical to the Force. Roughly translated, it means something like “way,” “path,” or “road,” but in Taoism it is used to refer to a spiritual “flow of the universe” that all things are a part of...The oft-misunderstood concept of yin-yang is also vitally important to Taoism. But unlike in Star Wars, where the Light side and Dark side are often simplified to a good-versus-evil binary, yin and yang are more representative of balance. Yin and yang are two opposing but complementary existences, of which one cannot exist without the other. *Indeed, according to Taoist metaphysics, the dichotomy of good and evil, is, in fact, nonexistent, as the dichotomy itself is one whole.*" It's entirely possible that Hans Qu isn't quite right on this either, but given he's of Chinese descent and a professional animator I'm assuming he's up to snuff. And, admittedly, in the paragraph after the one I quoted Qu gets into your point about Luke, but it's one scene in six hours of movies.
