The contract is with AJs lawyers. You can't put a 7 day deadline on a contract, like a gun to a head. I've never heard of such a short deadline in the history of boxing & this is for one of the biggest U.K heavyweight fights. AJs lawyers are implying the contract is "a mess" so it's having to be put in order (not so much adjusted) it's like it's too convoluted & prob needs wording amendments or they could be signing something with hidden clauses or caveats. It's not a boxers fault the lawyers have a job to do. AJs not a lawyer and won't even read it. It's broken down for him as it's mostly legal Jargon. You agree on the terms great! Now the lawyers have a job to do without a 7-day deadline even if you are have extended to.2 weeks. Maybe it takes a week to unpack the thing like a bloody mortgage or insurance policy so I think it's crazy to expect one of the biggest domestic fights in U.K boxing history to be contractually signed in 7 days. I agree it shouldn't take more than 2 weeks but the initial rush would have made the lawyers panic and start looking at every single word until it reads the same backwards and in another dimension & braille. . Boxing is a nightmare with contracts but 2 weeks is not crazy unusual.? I think there should be a legal template as it seems the contracts can be biblical in terms of waffle and even layers look at it and think what on earth does this actually fucking mean. Please chill and kick up a fuss in a week. Demanding 7 days. Now today! For a legal contract is just odd no more odd than it taking a few weeks to sign.
