im new to guitar and i dont really understand if this is a good question but what is the plucking pattern? i cant seem to find it anywhere and i dont know how to figure it out on my own lol
hard to explain in a comment but i'll try lol: the plucking is just a thumb then finger pattern. ie first pluck with your thumb, then with your finger, then with your thumb, then with your finger and so on. specifically for this song: 1. first pluck your thumb on the open d string 2. then pluck the g string with your finger while the string is being fretted on the 2nd fret 3. then pluck the open d string again 4. then pluck the b string with finger while string is also pressed on the 2nd fret 5. pluck the open d string again 6. pluck the g string with finger, still pressed on 2nd fret 7. pluck open d string again 8. pluck g string again with finger, still on 2nd fret that's basically the entire picking pattern throughout the whole song. the only differences are when the bass changes, so when you hear the bass (lower notes) changing just substitute the note in steps 1,3,5 and 7 with either: - the open a string - low e string with finger pressed on 2nd fret, or - open low e string use your ear to figure this out. it's pretty simple. i imagine if you're trying to learn this on guitar you probably have a good idea of how the song goes, so just try to remember when the lower part changes when you get to it. also remember to play it slowly at first. feel free to slow down the video via youtube controls to help you learn/play along. hope this helped even a little bit. good luck!
