After 2 years of medical treatment, Cali has one last item on the list to handle, the biggest and most expensive: surgery on both of her rear legs (she has had one surgery, and still needs more procedures for that leg, then surgery on the other leg will follow). She has bilateral cruciate tears, or the tearing of the cranial cruciate ligament, which has led to chronic arthritis and if not treated, will likely result in her permanently losing the use of her legs. Cali is already down to the use of only three of her legs and needs follow-up treatment and the 2nd surgery as soon as possible.
