PRS silver sky is a great axe rich, congrats, I had a PRS McCarty that was a great axe ..a SE version. Lovely colour reminds me of Yvwengie malmsteem but with a prs headstock 👍🏻 And don’t put yourself down mate , we all were learning at some point and still are learning, you have vastly improved from when you started, never give up and keep doing what your doing, one thing you may want to look into though is using DAW on a PC or Mac if you have one obviously, with a usb interface of some kind like a Scarlett perhaps. You can either mic up your amps and capture them or use VST amp sim plugins like tonex and dsp , there are loads out there, even free ones. That way it would sound better than just using your phone to capture your playing, but for video and your vocal the phone is fine mate. Just enjoy trying to help people if I can 😊
Hi Rich, seeing that you’ve bought a new PRS I thought I’d just let you know I’ve still got the original white PRS Starla SE that I bought off you 2 yrs or so ago, it’s still an amazing guitar and sounds great and is in as new condition. Love hearing your honest reviews, keep doing what you’re doing.
That guitar sounds and looks amazing buddy! I really like PRS guitars. Absolutely love the one I had for my birthday. What a great deal you got! The sound of those pickups are just beautiful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Always enjoy your videos, Silver Sky was one of my dream guitars but when I tried one in a store I was a bit underwhelmed for the £900 price tag, I was also only playing about 6 months but agree I feel £600 is the right price based on the competition. I know I'll want one or a strat in future as there's something about the sound of a twangy single coil and how they work with pedals. I have a chapman ml1 modern and it's great but definitely a heavier sound, I need to try changing the string guage down one as chapman use 10-46 guage where as PRS SE's use 9-42 and see how different it sounds. Could be a Xmas break job 😜
Must admit the prs guitars are amazing for the money got a standard 2408 and it's brilliant really fancy a silver sky in dragon fruit colour you have tempted me lol
Position 4 and 5 are chefs kiss good especially for finger picking, Jazz and a lot of blues got the Dragon Fruit purple one and strung it with 9s is my main player in the living room
You find some good deals Rich and this prs is no exception. I'm looking forward to hearing this guitar with the Catalyst in more upcoming videos. Congrats!
7:00 Use your eq pedal 😀 This is one way to use the same patch with different guitars. Just knock down the harsh frequencies and boost a little what you want to hear.
@@thenovicenoisemaker You are right on the radius the pickups are so yum I got it initially because I knew I wanted a strat but not a fan of the headstock so went for the Silver sky plus fell in love with the colour
Still not tried one of these, prob should as the se line are bloody good even though my pink one did need a bit of work to make it 100% but thats not to say it were bad from factory im just a fussy f!@!er ;) It looks n sounds sterling though sir :)
