I remember the animation was basic at best!

I was 14 when ST: TAS came on in 1973. It was the heaviest most serious show Filmation ever done.

Some of the monsters to me look great.

Year 1 had stories that busted right out from the start. Episodes like The Infernal Machine, The Last Enemy and War Games were hard hitting start to finish.

I like Jose and the Pussy Cats in Outer Space. Maya is still my favorite character 48 years later. I love the Tony and Maya relationship.

Fausta is also from the comics and at least in the Feminum Mystique part two it was addressed that Nazi headquarters wasn't sure that there really was a Paradise comic. Also Diana takes out Hitler in season 2😊

And Lara was in race with the devil On the run from a coven of witches

I'll never understand why some working actors turn down steady employment. People enjoyed it. It was fun. Darren must have really not enjoyed it since he walked away with nothing good to say about it on his way out the door. It's not like he had a great career. I love the chopper episode

Chopper is my least favourite episode, I usually skip it when rewatching the series on dvd.

1975. I completely missed this one. Busy running the streets before I joined the Army. I gotta find more of these. Thanks.

The show was essentially sci-fi horror. Looking back it's amazing that a lot of the graphic scenes made it past the tv censors. Different times I guess.

Wow stop overdramatizing about this. It’s a freaking TV series. Don’t go into special. Whatever just enjoy what you saw in the show. The show was trying to teach everyone right from wrong. What’s wrong with that?

Not many beefs against the show are valid. The show always passed the censors. McGavin defended his TV work by saying he did nothing the censors did not OK. Hiring Lara Parker very bad actress she really was was a beef Darren McGavin admittedly felt he or whoever hired her made.

NOTE!! I must tell you. Lara Patker hated cops in real life. She was a very radical. In her DS fan fiction book 'The Salem Beanch' she made local Collinsport lawmen out to be rotten goons trying to deny people their constitutional right to assembly.

My dear late Father directed several episodes and I remember him saying that Barbara had two facial expressions… surprised and surprised…..

THE VAMPIRE was my absolute favorite episode. A direct sequel to the pilot movie. A menacing, sexy and admittedly terrifying antagonist. Kolchak's humor and shenanigans with Updike, the realtor, and Vincenzo. A between the Rookies and Charlie's Angel cameo by Kate Jackson.

The production was kneecapped from the beginning by the rushed production. The scripts were being written page by page every day as they were filming.

Alan's inclusion at the end of the pilot as a series regular was a very last-minute thing, apparently.

I thought Koenig was a terrible commander. Some may say he was under tremendous pressure. But he was just an ass so many times, flipping out, yelling, etc. The next biggest ass of a "character" was the absolutely lame computer. My Commodore 64 produced better results with less data and without the need for adding machine paper. Kano's love affair with "computer" was very weird.

I have to say I didn't love Max 😊

Any channel that has fembots, Lindsay Wagner in a permed out fall (looking fabulous btw), and Butterfly taking back the hair-do in Female Troubles, is not too gay.

I gave this season a 5 out of 5. What the host of this video, didn't care for, I didn't have anything against, like the Italian suiter acquaintance reappearing after appearing in the previous season. And I actually do happen to like country music and liked watching Jamie poses as country singer. But with all the stuff that did receive praises from the host of this video, I do give this video a thumbs up.

The story of "The Bringers of Wonder" was recycled in the second season of Buck Rogers, right down to how Gil Gerard saw through the alien disuises in that show.

God I love Catherine Shell, such a gorgeous lovely woman! She uhh, made me a man... I was born in 1969 so, you do the math! 😂 And by the way she did transform into both a rock and a plant! Mary me Catherine, I still love you! 🤣❤😘

Generally really enjoy your thoughtful and humorous reviews, which I just discovered, but gotta say... you thought the magic shampoo episode where Jaime is wildly out of character for most of it was great, but the finale, which beautifully handles issues of identity, government corruption and dehumanization was only meh? Wow. Well, tastes differ and all that. I'd always been under the impression writer's strikes were part of why so many episodes this season were dreadful, but the good eps (which includes On the Run IMO) are really worth watching. It's a shame writer's strikes can ruin so many television shows, and it's a good thing that never ever happened again for the Bionic Woman because there was never ever another show called the Bionic Woman.

Space:1999 is probably the first scifi show I remember as a kid watching, and 'Dragon's Domain' scared the crap out of me! The only thing that scared me more were the commercials for this little known scifi movie called 'Alien' that was coming out then. :D

Season 3 is a hot mess but the disco inspired S3 theme is the best of the “modern” bunch! I LOVE IT!!

The music is awesome. The ships are awesome. Good SciFi was rare at the time, so we were hungry for anything. I tried rewatching 10 or 15 years ago, and I stopped because it was ruining my past love of the show. I still hold it dear in my heart.

I did see it as a kid. Nightmares for years.

It is confirmed that Barry was not giving a proper contract and not given a chance with the contract. It seems Fred didn’t want him to return and so he made a situation where Barry was not able to agree to the contract he was given. Ageism.

I liked almost every episode of STTAS

Such a great series! Now admittedly, episodes like CHOPPER and THE SENTRY are so low budget it's comical..... but still good stuff, especially for the early 70's!

Saw this season as well, but saddly the only episode I liked was the beta cloud...but since getting older I've enjoyed most of thus season, but sadly some episodes are just not watchable.

I loved space brain lol

This show is tied at first place with star trek on my own favorite list.
