Mazda 3 2.3 straight-piped from the cat back. That means, stock headers, stock cat, but I have the resonator and 2 mufflers removed. It was about 15 degrees outside at the time.

08 Mazda 3 2.3 with a straightpipe from the cat-back. The 1st clip was a bad pipe bending, bad welding, and overall bad job done by my local midas. I had a fart can on for a while but got tired of the look and cut it off. Then i started noticing leaks from the shotty welding that was done to replace the resonator and 2 mufflers, so I took my car to a professional exhaust shop and they did a 10x...

I had my resonator and two mufflers taken off and straight piped. Then had a fireball style 4 inch muffler put on. In all it costed me about $425. My car is slow, but I like the sound, so please don't hate:)

I had my resonator and big muffler removed and straightpiped. There is still the second, smaller muffler still attached (that is what you can see). I will be getting the second muffler removed, and an aftermarket muffler and tip put on soon.

Do you have any resonators/mufflers on it or is it a true straight pipe? I was gonna do a cat back from the first cat and don’t know if I should do 2 resonators or a resonator and a muffler

THE SORROW when I had the car I drove next to cops several times, never had any issues. I even got pulled over twice for speed but they never said anything about the exhaust. It may depend on which state or city you live in.

fat boi XxCK9xX I would advise against it. New Jersey requires you have a muffler equipped at all times, any modifications done to the exhaust will get u in some hefty fines and car reverts.

@@jaucoly Tell that to Texas, all I hear while trying to sleep is trucks with muffler deletes. Never heard of anyone here getting a ticket for too loud an exhaust. Worst I seen was a Silverado with what I assume was open headers, most obnoxious thing I ever heard in my life.
Hey man, is this just a muffler delete? Or your resonator too? I’ve got an 08 hatch with a mangaflow muffler but it isn’t loud enough, thinking about chopping it.
Kade Tingey I removed the resonator as well as the 2 mufflers. I think it’s 2.25 inch piping from the cat back with a 4 or 5 inch “diesel” tip.

Also this sounds weird but just so I can show my mechanic, could you take a picture of the underside of the tip and part of the piping and send it to me via Instagram or something? 😂

No, first time was about 100, but it was booger welds ands lots of exhaust leaks

Sorry for the late reply. I left the catalytic converter on but had the resonator and first muffler taken out. You can see the second, stock exhaust tip in the picture. This is a Mazda 3 Hatch, so if you have a sedan it might be different pipe layout
