Mazda 3 "Straightpipe"

- 08 Mazda 3 2.3 with a straightpipe from the cat-back. The 1st clip was a bad pipe bending, bad welding, and overall bad job done by my local midas. I had a fart can on for a while but got tired of the look and cut it off. Then i started noticing leaks from the shotty welding that was done to replace the resonator and 2 mufflers, so I took my car to a professional exhaust shop and they did a 10x better job than the midas. I had them replace all the piping directly from the cat back with 2.25 inch piping, and also had them put a tip on to give it a better look and sound. Overall the drone inside the car isn't bad at all and it is a lot louder outside the car.
That 2nd clip sounds great 🔥
How loud is it driving? Like if your driving next to a cop would be be able to tell it was modified
Yes they would
No emissions test in Michigan so the cops can’t do shit in my state, idk about you guys😂
@@spazzologist every state has a noise pollution law sorry mate
@@spazzologist mufflers are not emission
@@jaucoly Tell that to Texas, all I hear while trying to sleep is trucks with muffler deletes. Never heard of anyone here getting a ticket for too loud an exhaust. Worst I seen was a Silverado with what I assume was open headers, most obnoxious thing I ever heard in my life.
The 2.3s sound the best
What is the original size of the piping from the headers? or the original size of the piping of the car?
Manuel Gomez I believe 2 inches
Do you have any resonators/mufflers on it or is it a true straight pipe? I was gonna do a cat back from the first cat and don’t know if I should do 2 resonators or a resonator and a muffler
What did you end up doing because I’m at the same spot you are in this comment? Any tips would be appreciated
Is this a true straightpipe? There's no cat, no resonator, and no muffler? Just 2.5" pipe from flange of flex pipr to the tip?
his stock cats are still in
What size did u go to in the sec part
I’m pretty sure I went 1/2 inch bigger compared to stock piping. I want to say 3 inches but it may be 2 1/2
Im thinking about straight piping mine but idk... mine is pretty loud but I also don’t wanna get pulled over
THE SORROW when I had the car I drove next to cops several times, never had any issues. I even got pulled over twice for speed but they never said anything about the exhaust. It may depend on which state or city you live in.
@@adammiller7168 jersey to be exact, I kinda wanna do it to mine too
fat boi XxCK9xX I would advise against it. New Jersey requires you have a muffler equipped at all times, any modifications done to the exhaust will get u in some hefty fines and car reverts.
What kind of wing do you have on your Mazda in your picture?
Are the cats taken out?
chris key no. Still have stock cats in the headers as well as stock catalytic converter
rev it
He's respecting his neighbors
@@woooose fuck em
How much did this cost you?
in all, about $350
Just unbolt the thing yourself
@@adammiller7168 was that including the first bad job?
No, first time was about 100, but it was booger welds ands lots of exhaust leaks
@@jacobwebb8818 Pretty sure there was some cutting and welding involved plus the pipes and tip.
