The Rush Experience
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 8 ส.ค. 2022
Hailing from the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan Area, The Rush Experience are a true RUSH Tribute Act in that the band fulfill the traditional roles of Geddy, Alex and Neil... with Vince Tricarico on drums and percussion... Burke Hunn on guitars and synthesizer pedals... and David Kidd on bass, vocals, keyboards and pedals.
The band's repertoire spans RUSH's entire career from their 1974 debut album through 2012's epic swan song, Clockwork Angels. The Rush Experience focuses primarily on RUSH's hey-day 70's and 80's material, performing many of their greatest hits with a wealth of surprising deep cuts that perhaps Rush only played live.

Natural Science - The Rush Experience (Rush Tribute)
Natural Science from 1980's Permanent Wave Album. Maybe the most physical song ever written and recorded by Rush!!

I use this drum kit when the band cannot access the stage from a direct flat push. Meaning my main "A Rig" which is a 1:1 Replica of Neil Peart's modern DW kit on the Rotating Riser with the Roland vDrum kit in the rear can't be rolled directly on the stage. As we all remember, Neil Peart's drum kits over the years had been a focal point of the Live Rush Show. This is a 1982-83 Tama Superstar S...

A special thanks to the two Rush Fans at The Landis Theater last weekend 1/27/2024 who caught the drum solo. I (Vince) cut your videos together and would like to share 'my' attempt at this. I've always loved his drum solos over the years so I thought I'd take some of my favorite moments from those solos, knit them together and try and play them as a song so we can remember those wonderful momen...

Wow! TRE… first time coming across them. Absolutely outstanding! Really, really impressed!
Wow! Outstanding guys! The boys would be proud
Saw them Saturday November 9th at District 142 in Wyandotte, MI. I can’t say enough how good these guys are.
The singer sounds like Stewie Griffin . . . . I mean or is that just me ?
They friggin jam !
Rush is a tough act to follow!
Great job guys all the best!
Need to lead the clapping like Geddy does live. Also, don't "Rush" the tempo 😅
This song is beat mapped directly to the tempo on Permanent Waves, which speeds up and slows down more than you might think.
@@therushexperience7208Ahhhhhh, I have the two side by side and it's spot on but you're maybe a half step lower? Sounds great though. See you in Waynesboro, VA in February!
I'd go see these guys but they gotta play Xanadu.
Going to see them tomorrow Saturday November 9th, 2024 in Michigan.
Hope you had a good time.
The 1980's TAMA Superstars are some of the best sounding drums ever made.
Fantastic!
WHAT!?!? Wait a minute... Ya mean I was playing 13/8 way before I knew WTH 13/8 even was?!?!?! Well THAT'S Cool As F ! Thank You Neil !
Best cover I have EVER seen on TH-cam hands down !!! You guys def did your RUSH homework !!!! Subbed !!!
@@markusaurelius777 Thank you very much for the kind words. We miss Rush everyday - especially Neil. It’s a privilege to go out and play their music!!!
I hope you plan on playing in Annapolis sometime in the near future.
Our next local show will be in Falls Church, VA - 12/28 at the State Theatre.
Wow! I just subscribed. Sounds great. I've been a RUSH fan since I was 12. Keep playing, thanks
Great job ! Going to see RUSH Experience Saturday November 9th, District 142 Wyandotte, MI.
Thanks so much you’ll get to see us play this live because it’s in the show. Make sure you tell all your friends and bring them out. See you in a couple of weeks.
Beautiful and well put together.
Great job! Great respect for the work you put into this project…👍😎🥁
❤❤❤Huuuge RUSHfan. You hit this track. Wow. Very well done. Greetings Dirk Belgium
Be very careful with those Temple blocks if they are wood. I know so many guys who used these from as far back as the 70's and they have cracked a few. The composite stuff they make now for Temple Blocks is terrific for longevity and really playing loudly, but nothing beats the look of the authentic Asian blocks that you have up there. Just be careful, cause they do crack over time as the wood ages. You did a ton of work on this kit and I applaud you. Just filling a hole with birch or maple and sanding smooth for a paint job is a job, is a bear in and of itself. Nice work!
Wow! Great job. You even captured the 1981 vibe.
Waoooo excelente cover
Neil's Signals kit was not a Superstar kit, it was actually an Artstar Corida shell with Superstar hardware and badges, and the shells were cut down to standard sizes. Most people confuse this because Tama did the Candy Apple finish for Superstar drums in 1986. The sound Neil got was from a Birch/Corida shell, not a straight birch shell.
@@robertnobody I know. Thx.
To answer your question on how Neil mounted the 18” crash above the ride, back in the 70’s both Ludwig and Pearl made similar stackers. From Ludwig you can see it used by both Ian Paice and Ginger Baker. I think I remember a Pearl promo photo with Ed Shaughnessy using it for a short time. Great video, this is such a great tribute to Neil, such detail. Maybe one day you can walk thru the riser construction for both rigs.
@@blemrow thanks so much for that information. Yes when I get to a venue when I have my A set up, I will go through it, and both risers are very similar with the exception of the B rig is fixed and the A rig rotates
Great work and attention to details. I really like the mix of era and the vibes of this drum kit. 👍
A wonderful tribute to neil and Rush !
This is a great tribute to Neils big red kit ! Neils red tamas are the ultimate kit for me
Outside of the beanie cap they are not trying to look like Rush!!!!
Terrific, my hats off to you sir!!!!❤❤❤
missing only the onstage washing machines. very nice.
Quite the investment of time and money for this kit but I can't help but point out that this would absolutely creep the hell out of Neil were he standing in front of it.
Dan, I had the pleasure of chatting briefly with Neil backstage on the Roll the Bones Tour. Also, Geddy and Alex on the Presto, Roll the Bones and Vapor Trails. I can tell you being invited back stage for RUSH, getting an hour long tour of their stage set and then watching 30 minutes of them sound checking doesn't exactly suck!!! But you're correct would certainly creep him out. Good thing for me is - I didn't do this replica (and you should check out my MAIN Kit - which is the present day DW's full rotating with Roland vDrums in the rear) for Neil Peart. I did it for all the RUSH Fans that come out and see us play. You see this is the closest that 'many' that come and see us perform could have ever gotten this close to Neil Peart's drum kits - which as we all know was the focal point of a live Rush Concert. The tag line you see - "Live it All Again". That's what we're doing - allowing everyone to go back for a few hours and remember, reflect and enjoy. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Cheers.
@@therushexperience7208 Hi Vince - thanks for the background info and do get the heightened fandom when it comes to Neil and Rush. I crossed paths with Neil a few times as we shared the same drum teachers and he was always the humble student and seemed rather uncomfortable with the constant praise and elevated status (drummer poll winner, etc.) especially around other professional drummers. I think that's why he took Freddie G up to Canada to have for himself, lol. Nice kit and incredible restoration.
As someone who has seen Rush a dozen times, Great Job Guys. The guitar tone sounds great.
Thanks Steve. Burke does a great job copping what might be the toughest Guitar Tone in Rock. Alex was constantly changing.
@@therushexperience7208 Y’all did a great job!
Great job, guys! The Rush sound is very difficult to reproduce, and you guys pulled it off! Bravo!
Nice job buddy. Would like to see you guys live.
Seeing that Timpax Walz’s old lady has been pimping the title Turn The Page, it’s no wonder Geddy Lee said he hated this song and stopped playing it after the 1987 outing. The words are strikingly consistent with this shit show we’ve been seeing with Timpax and his dominatrix, Mistress Cum-Allah
Even did the stick toss..fk yeah, well done fellas!
LOVE IT!
Hard work 💪!

Charleston last night was excellent. Have seen Rush 68 times in my life and these guys did a wonderful job.

Been a RUSH Disciple since April of '75 and I have No Doubt in my mind that Dirk, Lerxst and The Professor are absolutely digging this! Cheers Everyone!
I just saw you in Michigan City, Indiana (8-10-24). Had to leave early. I was very impressed. Excellent job boys. I'll check you out again and watch all of it.
@@jonnytonto5298 Well be in Hobert, IN 11/8
That is just weird, it’s ok to cover the music but to try to look the same and act the same is silly. It’s about music folks, not appearance
Yes, the bass player is definitely trying to look like Geddy.
I’ll be seeing you all in September, can’t wait.
It’s great to have all of the top equipment but you’ve still got to be able to play. I saw this band live and they weren’t that bad. The only thing is the drummer is choppy and his tempo fluctuations throw off the whole band. Also, maybe he would benefit from someone showing him how to tune his drums. They’re expensive DW’s and they really should sound a lot better
Another one I never got to experience live.
I wish I could've seen this one live. I'd even love to see a cover band play it. Your Geddy did great with that vocal, bass, synth pedal finale!
Interesting seeing the P bass being used for these tunes!
My best friend of 50 years and I were complete Rush heads growing up in the early 80s. He always hated this song. Fast forward to 2019. On a mancation to Nevada we had rented a fabulous Airbnb in Henderson Nevada. There was an elevated cabana by the pool. From there we could see the lights of Vegas. After a long day of desert trekking and some perfectly grilled steaks we sat and just watched the lights upon the horizon in silence. I brought my Alexa blue tooth speaker and she was randomly playing my songs that she knew I liked. Lakeside park starts echoing off the pool and filled the air.... He quietly says, "I remember when I didn't like this song at all.....Funny how things change.....what a masterpiece......" He passed away June of 2020. 😢
