Go Stainless, makes it stand out. Well done!!!
If the bumper bolts are shiny, they will enhance other chrome pieces (headlight bezels, hood ornament, etc.), if bolts are painted, keep bumpers along with the grill keeps the front end subtle, calm, and blending. I cannot give you an answer here! Either, or, will be fantastic!
Stainless
Less work for me! Thanks
I was just wondering cuz I'd like to have it done to my truck like you did to that one but I need an idea how much money I would need to do this
I get where your coming from...figure out what your budget is and let me know...I will tell you if your in the ball park or not. If your paying someone to do everything, you might have "sticker shock", it is what it is.
Stainless will match the Chrome and painted will look good also. I’d say stainless…
Thanks Greg...stainless is easier for sure! I think either way will look good!
Stainless, Happy New year!
Thanks for the input...Happy New Year!
Painted bolts best
Gotcha!
Both look good but I'm leaning towards painted bolts
Thanks, painted seems to be the favorite!
Painted bumper matches grill it all tyes together, painted bolts, have a happy new year and prosperous one
Thanks, happy New Year!
Stainless
Vote taken...thanks!
Happy New Beer Dan
Thanks...same to you
Painted
Vote counted...Thanks!
I would say painted with the painted bumper . Happy News years from Georgia!!
Thanks...Happy New Year!
Thanks!
Thank you very much for supporting the channel...much appreciated!
PAINTED! Not even close. Painted bumper is a lot better than the Chinese imitation chrome.
Ok...got it!
🤜❤Happy New Year ❤🤛 Looks great Nice Bumber 👍 👌
Thanks...Happy New Year!
🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙😎
Supposed to say bumper
Hey Dan have a good video the papa looks really good I think I would go with the painted bolts well happy New Year buddy say hello to the family you're staying warm
Thanks...Happy New Year!
I think I'd like to stainless boats and a Chrome bumper.
Oh well...that's not happening
I prefer the stainless.
I'm leaning that way!
painted.
Stainless
It's less work! So far the vote is tied.
Painted bolts
How much money in materials and labor does this guy have in it
I'm not gonna get into that...it's between him & I

What a cool light and what a cool friend!
Yeah, he's a great guy! Has a pretty cool car and bike collection as well!
You should keep a personal how to redo mistakes book. Dans how to guide book.
You read instructions!@#?? I never thought I'd hear that lol. I never read instructions, the paper becomes a mat for bolts , screws , notes etc. Lol
LOL
Fender looks great. I like the LED lights, good idea. Thanks for sharing about door rubber, I'll try to remember that one....
Door rubbers are a pain in the ass, but ya gotta have 'em!
Great tape trick ! Love it
Tape can be another set of hands...thanks!
I need light, I never have enough, great idea/solution!
It's cheap and it works great!
That's a BRIGHT IDEA!!!!! hi Dan,,, KY Dan. I just bought 4 of the 4 ft'ers. led. Finishing up the mudd work on my 67 cuda project. You sir are an lnspiration.
Thank you! Good luck!
Thanks Dan, I was a mechanic for years but little body work. My son and I rebuilt a 400 sbc when he was 16, the truck wasn't worth repairing but I saved the motor and want to drop it in a square body for a surprise. I'm 66 now so it will be my last project and want to give to him road ready. I'm planning on doing everything including prep except paint. You give me inspiration and enthusiasm to take it on. Thanks again. Nick
Right on...keep on truckin'!!
❤Old Blue 👍 What do you think about a battery LED attached somehow to the canister on the spray gun 🔫. Just a thought 🤔
Might be more of a pain in the ass...especially when spraying in tight spots...I'm happy with these as they can be placed anywhere and don't take up a lot of space when not in use.
@dirtydansrodncycle lol
@@vm722 Luma III makes an LED for the spray gun. They are called SunPro.
Can i do this while the lifters still has oil in them, or should i let the engine sit a day or to? Or maybe it dosent matter? Thanks
Interesting question...I don't see why it would matter.
I like your content and try to help by liking and sharing, but, as for using the “Thanks” I don’t ever give my credit card information over the internet to any businesses especially the ones that can’t be held accountable for misuse, there’s no way to communicate with them it’s all Artificial Intelligence now.
No worries...I'm just showing where it is and what it's for...I didn't have anything to do with it actually, youtube installed it and operates it.
Great repair job! Are you ordering a new Chevrolet tailgate or finding one in better condition ??
new
HI Dan. Danny Murray here in Ky. I'm a 71 yr. young male, I am a self employed body shop owner like you. Working on a 67 Baracuda, all over repaint, about the color of your truck. Like your channel,, keep a steady pace and you will win the race.
Cool...I did a '68 Baracuda a few years ago...383 4 speed numbers matching car...came out beautiful!
It’s looking really good.
Thanks...it's coming together well!
Awesome job. Sure happy to see you working on OLE BLUE again. Can’t wait to see it done. Feels like we’ve all been waiting for almost 2 years… lol. Going on 3 with mine… Keep up the great work.
Thanks buddy...I'm gonna go hard 'til it's done!
Hey Dan another good video I'm glad the guns working out good looks like it had a good spray pattern on it can't wait to see what the front bumper looks like to well you have a good day my friend stay warm can you say hello to the family if you can't get another video out happy New Year buddy
@@WayneGiguere-d9f I'm busting my balls over here, so there will be at least one before new years...gun is sweet! Thanks
14 inch tires are what grain angers use here in the west. Lots of 14 inch tires here
totally different tires...light truck & passenger car tires are not readily available...all kinds of 14 inch trailer tires around, but they too are different!
@dirtydansrodncycle No not trailer tires. Atleast they don't say trailer on them. I will text you a picture next week of an auger tire. Most are Chinese auto 14 ply tires I've seen
Looking good, I know you're ready to get it down the road.
Yeah, it's been too long
That was brilliant!
Thanks...hope you had a great Christmas!
I've met your son . A couple rounds? You could send him into next week lol
He's tall and slim now...but he's gonna fill out over the next few years!
When I did the box in that same location the spot welds were iffy, I redid them, yours might’ve popped a weld causing that bit of separation. That Blue looks so close to mine, I’m going to go back through my paperwork to see what I used.
Actually, I separated them to clean up underneath and rewelded them...your right though, the box sides weren't pretty from the factory!
Thanks Dan for another great video Dae and I always appreciate the detail work on the paint and body work we will most definitely use what we have learned from your hard work on the 51 fat fender truck it’s looking great. Also we enjoy watching you mark things off your list.
Thanks...that truck isn't leaving here 'til it's right!
Did you forget about the tailgate? Or you have another idea for it.
Gettin a new one
Glad you take pride in your work. 👏
It's gotta be right or is doesn't leave...thanks!
Hey Dan have a good video add bedside look like crap but we know you'll get it looking nice play have a good day my friend stay warm
Well, it ain't leaving until it's right! Thanks, have a good night.
