The Weeki Wachee river is absolutely beautiful. Laws have been enacted to protect the river. You cannot get out of your vessel and swim. You cannot beach your vessel. I am all for protecting the river, but these laws are very restrictive and make it not worthwhile to go anymore.

I purchased a house in Inverness 2 years ago with the purpose of riding on the Withlacoochee Trail. On my first ride south I came upon the the beautiful Good Neighbor Trail. I rode all the way to Brooksville and learned about the Good Neighbor Trail connector project. Congratulations on the completion of the Connector. This path will help people discover beautiful Brooksville, and beyond. The project seems to have been an impressive example of long-term cooperation by many stakeholders. Yes, there are always challenges in this type of project; however, I believe this one reflects well on the community spirit of Brooksville.

I’m watching this with a big smile on my face as this beautiful lady shares her cherished memories of a very special time in her life. I was at Weeki when I was 5 in 1980 and the Mermaid show was one of the first memories I have in life and to listen to see this interview and the cut backs of the show so many years ago just warms my heart! Just look at her smile 😊❤️ Thank you for the memories Weeki Wachee!

Been there a few times to do night time investigations and everything Bonnie said is true. Was touched by the ghost named Jimmy and the feeling on the third floor is very creepy. Saw a trunk levitate about 2 inches and slam back down. Very real stuff going on there.
