OEM Radio Upgrade | Giving my wife's 2016 Wrangler some love!
In this video, we went through and replaced the stock radio from my wife's 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport S Blackbeard Edition, from it's crap analog feel to a nice touch-screen from a takeout of another wrangler.
One thing you want to make sure you have is the 4 digit security code for the radio, without it, you won't be able to actually use the radio...
You can get this one of 2 ways.
1. Reinstall it in the original vehicle - Good luck if you bought from Facebook Marketplace.
2. Get the VIN number (At least the last 8 characters) and the Radio's Serial Number, and head to your local dealership's part's department, they should be able to provide the unlock code!
Things needed
- 7mm socket
- Pry Tool (Or screw driver)
- LIGHT
- Security Code for the Radio
- Time...
Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoyed the video!

Greetings from the province of Pontassieve in Florence, Italy, I see that many 4x4 off-road vehicles in this place are not equipped with specific mud tires, it seems to me that they have All Terrain tires that are not good on these dirt roads with presence of mud?
@@lmalesci some vehicles do run mud tires, however in the general area that we're in all-terrain tires kind of roll ule overall because of the fact that we have snow ice, mud, dirt, sand, little bit of everything. It's not just mud and because of that it also improves our on-road driving along with the off-road driving. A lot of people do air down which hopes where a mud tire may not need to be aired down as much for similar scenarios. However, around here there are also much more aggressive all-terrain tires or as some of us run such as myself a hybrid tire. So my tire personally is a combination of an all-terrain and a mud tire and there are a few different brands that make them mine are Mickey Thompson Legends EXP if I'm not mistaken, however, I could be slightly off on that. Hopefully that gives you a better idea on why we typically run all terrains around here versus mud tires. If not, feel free to drop another comment and I'll go ahead and see if I can answer it for you

nice video
@@pedrosanchez4035 thank you. Hopefully it was informative for you in making any decisions you might be for an air compressor
@@trailtothevoid Thank you, you were very helpful, and your review tipped the balance, I have ordered one with a set of all top deflator 'thingies' you might want to take a look at them as the tool you use will wear the valves, the All Top tools leave the valve alone. (ALL-TOP Adjustable Auto-Stop Tire Deflator Valve Kit (10-30 PSI) 4 PCS Screw-on Tyre Air Down Tool for Offroad 4x4 (with 5 Valve caps)) I know they make a device like the one you are using. Have fun out there 🙂
@pedrosanchez4035 I actually have those deflators too. I need to re set mine up... They got played with. Lol. The only thing with those twist on deflators, make sure you don't have one of the o-rings from inside them come out. Sometimes they will get stuck in the valve stem. Also get some spare o-rings that match... It'll save you a headache looking for one if it comes out and maybe drops on the ground
What do you think, which two-cylinder compressor is better, VEVOR or All Top???
@@RobertOkruashvili I'll be honest. It's probably the same one just with a different color and stickers. All top is specializing in 4x4 and overlanding stuff, while vevor does not.... They have vevor hot dog bun warmers and change sorters..

Very confused on wheter or not I need both stickers. I have a Jeep Cherokee and will be on wide trails and roads. DNR rules very confusing.
@@charlierumsfeld6626 so in a nutshell... Typically you get both. Below is the guidelines. So one is basically to get you things like national Forest roads etc... While the other is State designated trails and stuff. Your $26.25 ORV license is required to ride eligible county roads, frozen surface of public waters, state forest roads (open to ORV use) and eligible national forest roads. A $10 ORV trail permit, is required in addition to your ORV license ($36.25 total), when operating on state-designated ORV trails and scramble areas. The ORV license and the ORV trail permit are both valid for one year, which begins April 1 and ends March 31 of the following year.

Hows the eco diesel?
@@justinsali6581 overall great. I'm glad I didn't get the gasser. But do wish I sprung for the Rubicon...
@@trailtothevoid i have jt Overland diesel just got it 16000 miles waiting on recall to put 37 and 4.5 inch lift on it i guess . the dealership i got mine at only let me do 6 inch lift max and 35s tires or else will void warranty. Should keep or trade it for mojave or rubi gas used?
@@justinsali6581 so I'm on a 2.5 lift with 35s. Mine is also a JTOD, roughly...73k miles. I'd like 37s . But don't think it'll happen anytime soon. Might want to find a different dealership, because technically anything non Mopar they can say will void it. My dealership doesn't really care unless the warrantied part was a modified part. That's just my two cents. I'll keep mine and won't trade it in, mainly because I love the diesel platform.. and eventually the things that are my issues with it will be a thing of the past.
@@trailtothevoid you think it’s pretty reliable?
@@justinsali6581 Overall. Yes it has been. Have I had issues, yes.. but they were all resolved via warranty work, or were being replaced anyway. (Recall for the HPFP was about the only thing that was completely out of my control, and concerned me.)
