Reminds me of Aldnoah;Zero, same amout of disappointment once the show tried to bite more than it could chew.

I watched this show out of boredom. Saw it on Max and gave it a try. Was drawn in by the fights and revenge arc. I thought at least every other episode Higan was taking out his targets to get to the top but no. Like you said, the show tried too hard to get you to care for too many characters. When the red head died, I was shocked because it was out of nowhere and I didn't care for her that much. I stopped watching during thr middle portion since nothing interesting was happening and I didn't watch the last episode

9:00, I feel like many anime and manga have the "too many damn characters" issue, and honestly, most would do to have around 20-30% of the cast fused into other characters resulting in a smaller cast that's more impactful and memorable.

So it is just the fast food of anime???

Ninja Kamui was like the anime adaptation of John Wick. It had so much potential (the downfall must be studied)

They should've used Cyberpunk implants or high tech ninja tools instead of suits and the anime could've been somewhat decent

I understand now why I enjoy most animes, regardless how they turn out. Because I watch them initially for one and only one reason and as long as that one condition is met, I stay hooked. I watched Megalo Box just because I wanted to watch a guy beat the shit outta another guy and that's what I got. I paid little to no attention to the deeper themes and meanins behind what was happening, I just wanted to see people get punched. Which is why I unconditionally love most animes like Fairy Tail. I want fight scenes, it gives fight scenes, therefore it's good.

the only show where the 3 ep rule didnt work for me was ergo proxy, it infact takes abt 7 eps to get good and my god after watching it, i was left with a sweet memory and a longing for a season 2

Where do watch these animes

The main problem wasn’t animation quality it was the writing. The writer came up with the mecha and added nothing. It wasn’t even like the combatants had reached their peak yet. The writing just seemed like he was like: I know what the kids like, ninjas! Oh and mecha!! And they were just thrown in the story. No real build up, no fore shadowing, no reason. And that’s why it failed. Low budget animation is all over anime, and some really great shows at that save that budget for when it counts, this writer shot his wad in those first episodes and should’ve just stopped there. Kudos to you for finishing the anime, I had better stuff to do… like taxes.

Nah the roof fight choreography was actual shlock I can't defend that. Go re-watch that, it was actually horrid compared to the rest of the fights. This show consistently gave consistent "Disney Star Wars" choreography and it was genuinely disappointing/
