@@showman139 thank you for your kind words... I feel like you could definitely use a lighter weight cotton thread/ yarn and maybe make another couple of rows to make it the right size. I will think on this for how to do doily style. You are right, It would be very pretty.

Hi, i apologize of the confusion of rows 13-14. I am thinking i need to do a video on this bc I have had a few people who have had problems with this part. These are actually called short rows/rounds, I just realized this myself. Sorry for my lack of crochet terminology lol. Okay, so you're on row 13, going to the right, when you get the amount of sts it called for in that first row, you are take the dragon head and fully turn it around, skip the first stitch, and begin crocheting the next row ( now your work is going to the left), to make that first st not have a hole slightly pull your free yarn tight so your stitch is super scrunched up and tightened, this really helps me to avoid a hole of any sort. Next you will work that whole part of the row, then it will tell you to 'reverse your work' again, you will flip the head back over (so you are, again, working to the right side) and follow the same instructions to make the hole invisible, finish off the stitches it calls for in the row and this will essentially finish that entire row. I hope this helps! I am fully aware that my pattern writing skills need work, I have crocheted for almost 30 years but writing patterns is a whole other ballgame that I am still very much getting used to, Thats why all of patterns are free. Your feedback is SO important to me to become a better writer. and thank you so much, I really hope you can finish this guy.

Hi, a video of those two rounds would be really really helpfull, I was going great but couldn't understand the placement, the number or the location of the stitches, the hole between the short round wasn't centered so i guess tension can also change that. The hole was even on the side of the head, couldn't understand if i was supposed to make the 28 stitches back an turn again, etc. I'm froggin it and waiting for the video so i can do it properly

I'm stuck at the same point. It says to turn, skip a stitch, and then just says pull tight but I'm assuming it should be turn, skip 1, then SC and pull tight because otherwise I can't get to 30 stitches at that point. Then continue on to the slip stitch etc after that? Or should we be turning, skip 1, and then doing the slip stitch in that second? But then we don't get 30 for that first bit. Also I don't see where it says to reverse it back at any point after you reverse it the first time? Agree with others that a video would be helpful cause I'm stuck 😩

Hi - I really need help with your pattern! I am making this for my best friend for his birthday and Im adamant on making this pattern and not others because its just so darn cute. I dont know where else to contact you other than here. I am stuck on row 13-14 of this. I am unsure what you mean by reverse direction of crochet despite making so many amigurumi. I have tried so many different ways of doing this but every time i do it it does not look like yours does and when I reverse the direction of the crochet it becomes this weird hole-y knotty looking thing and not like normal stitches. Thank you if you can take the time to reply to this!

@@Colleen-lv1sm thanks so much for your kind words, sorry for the not so clear directions :/ Ok for the reverse rows, these are called short rounds typically, I just recently found this out lol. So you are working to the right first, then you get to where it says reverse your work, you are actually going to take the head of the dragon that you have done so far and turn him around so you're working to the left now, skip that very first stitch, go into the very next st, and do your stitch, now pull your free yarn in your hand carefully, it will make any little hole you see close right up. I hope this helps. I am always available for chat on Etsy, through my shop, Huggableearth. I check that daily for work, where as youtube is every few days, or more. When yu come to the short round again, simply turn the head again, so you are going to the right again., and do the same steps. I really hope I conveyed the directions well enough here. I am by no means a professional pattern writer. In fact this is only my second pattern I have released, this is why they are both free. Sorry for the confusion and your feedback here really helps me to become better at writing these. Thank you!

Yeah I am a fan of bernat simply because of the availability and color selection and its def gotten softer in recent years. But the posh is really soft and will be cute for tiny plushies! Please do try the dragon if you want! He comes out so cute!!!

Yes the Posh is so cute and tiny and fluffy! It does seem softer to handle than many yarns... Like it would be good for beginners! I started with Red Heart about 29 years ago now and that was a great one for me to start on at age 7! I like Bernat blanket simply because of the color selection and easy availability lol, its literally everywhere around me! Thanks for watching and have a great day!
