Nice looking kit. How would heated seat elements do with the silk film?
I asked the supplier and he said that heat from a heat gun wrinkles the plastic a bit but does not burn it, so he thinks it would be ok, you'd have to do a test to be certain.

Well worth doing, a great upgrade from the older smaller tanks, as it increases the utility of the plane a LOT. Not that hard, did mine a few years back, not as scary as it would seem!
It takes a brave man to use a fly hole cutter in a hand drill. I was using one today in my drill press and even that makes me nervous.

I've got the skins already riveted. Is there anything I have to be concerned about if I try this by working in the wing root prior to installation of the tank?
It can be done through the wing root opening, lay your wing upside down and glue in place just as in the video.

Holy crud. I did mine few weeks ago and there is no way you would ever figure this out given there are no instructions. Yes I did it but it won’t fit like this one. I won’t embarrass myself and tell you how long this step took me but it was A LOT.
I am glad I fit mine before putting on the outside skin. That made it much easier to fit the bracket and drill the hole.

Shame they don't offer the 141 for the S20 any more. I suppose it just was too close to the S21.
Hy guys! I do own a S-6ES 912S Wing 116 here in France since 2020 an I have to tell you that "You've done a fucking good job with this stuff!'' I've got tones of fun every weekend because of you guys! Plz make more vidéos on TH-cam your planes are very famous in France ! Kit Fox sucks here.. Rans are great value for the price here event if they're a bit more expensive than Best of Skyranger because they're a lot more fun! Skyranger are every where and just stuck in the air.. Rans is for real ''Coyboy'' ☺️😎

Why not use aluminum? Embedded fitting in plastic can leak later after you have your nice bird done. Why take the chance.
The fittings are not embedded, they are a design we have used for decades on thousands of tanks with great success, no doubt because of the "O"ring and flat washer seals incorporated into the design.
@@randyschlitter2074 Hey Randy, I check out the wing construction video and then seen how you were doing the fuel tanks without using those embedded fittings. Good job.

I just picked up my kit and hauled it home. I hope to #FlyRANS within a couple of years and the fast build design along with the high wing are two of the reasons I chose RANS rather than Vans.

That's a great alternative. Our assembly crew recently completed an S-21LS (N21US) that uses a detachable iPad swivel mount, and it turned out great!

@@SkyRayden100 Great question! It's actually a black two-layer matte plastic sheet with a white substrate that is exposed when the overlay is engraved. Most engraving shops are familiar with this type of material as it's very commonly used!
