Adorable and you are so kind to share your templates. I am always amazed at your talent and creativity.
Kathleen you are very welcome! 🤗 Thank you for your lovely compliment!
Oh my goodness, the detail is absolutely stunning!
Thank you! I appreciate that! 🥰
This is exactly what i needed!! I have been racking(wrecking? 😂) my brain trying to figure out how to make Faux enamel for a vintage chinese armoire...thank you so so much
You are so welcome! I’m happy you found the technique useful!
Omg it is SO COOL. I could picture doing this with other animals (i w0uld never have real ones. I do like fake taxidermy tho.)
Glad you enjoyed it!! I would never have real ones either! I plan to try making a moose sometime.
❤ looks fantastic. I put parchment down over my cutting mat when I'm gluing things because it's super easy to clean, and i use it as a makeshift pallet to mix small amounts of paint too.
Thanks! I like to try and keep my cutting mats and desk clean too. I’ve never tried using my paper as a paint palette Great tip!
what a sweet room- i love that bookcase :)
Thank you very much!
You are a genius 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 😃💕
I’m so glad you like it! 🥰
OMG! This is absolutely the cutest thing ever! You are so creative, Laura. I was looking forward to this piece and you didn't disappoint, it is amazing! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! I’m glad I didn’t disappoint you lol. Cheryl how is Mr Mew?? How are you doing?
you never disappoint, only amaze me with each new creation! Mr Mew is doing a lot better. He has a way to go but, if things keep going as they are, he should make a full recovery. It is a miracle how he has turned around from a cat who, literally,, was at death's door. Thank you for all your well wishes for us.
I love this. Can't wait to try to create one.
You’ll have to let me know how it turns out.
The guidelines were a brilliant idea!!

Hi ! I love your channel! Right now I'm making an island (paradise) in half a coconut (leftover from a dessert)! My scale is 1/1000 if not less! And I'm struggling... But it's fun!
Oh my goodness thats tiny! Are you capturing a special moment or place if you don’t mind me asking? It sounds amazing!! 🤩 Happy to hear you enjoy the channel! Thanks!
Very nice, I would like to try that. Can’t quite understand what it is you are using, jellso? Chellso?
@@dorismcmillan1756 Thank you! Glad I have inspired you to try it! I believe you’re probably talking about gesso. Gesso is good at blending everything together to look like one piece. When you paper quill you can see the lines of the paper rolled up. So I used the gesso to make the lines less noticeable. Instead of gesso wood glue would help too. I bought my gesso at hobby lobby in the area they have the canvases and acrylic paints (not craft paints) and artist quality paint brushes.
@@Lauras-tinyviewthanks for your reply, I am in Ireland, never seen gesso here but will have a look, otherwise will use the wood glue
@ In the video I used the gesso then sanded. Wood glue is difficult to sand so first paint with some regular glue to keep paper from unraveling while you sand. Then apply the wood glue after you’re done sanding…If you don’t mind seeing the edges of the paper rolled you can skip the sanding altogether and just paint on the wood glue.
Fun project!
@@johntartaglia2672 Thank you!
Hi. I have a question…. How do you use the pastellclolur… do you use wather? 😊
I usually use them dry. Occasionally I’ll use water, but mainly dry. 🤗
Can we paint the basket when we finished?
You can, but I really believe they look more natural painted first.
You make the best pieces.🤗🇨🇦
Wow, thank you! That is so kind of you to say! 🥰
Congratulations on your first year on TH-cam Laura.🎉 You have converted quite a few crafters to appreciating card board/ cereal boxes. Saving the planet one miniature at a time👏👏
Thank you so much! I never thought of it that way before..but Yes I guess I am saving the planet one box or sheet of paper at a time. 😄 I always tell my husband I don’t plan to save cardboard or food packaging anymore.. and then he starts seeing cardboard stashed here and there. 😂
Oh... that is amazing! It turned out so good! I bought the one on Ebay...never thought I could build it and balance the chair on the slender base piece, even in wood. Faux leather is great too! You amaze me! Can you make a video of your first projects, not on YT, and talk about the builds...?
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it! It is very sturdy on its base although it is not a toy and should be handled with care. Most of my older projects I don’t have anymore. I do have pictures I think. 🤔 I worked in 1/6 scale mostly until recently. Some of the 1/6 scale projects I have on instagram I broke down and modified to store better in my one bedroom apartment lol. Hopefully I’ll have a granddaughter one day for those. 😄 That’s a great idea and I will definitely try to make a video about that. It would be fun to see how I’ve grown creatively. 😆
Absolutely Adorable! I hope to make this vignette for my Reading Room. I Love Reading, and I Love Your Work.❤😂🎉❤😂🎉
Thank you! 😊 Glad to hear I’ve inspired you! Have fun!
Such a fantastic idea and they look absolutely real.
Thank you so much!
I love your channel. Thank you for sharing with us. I was never able to tie my miniature vinetes together before I followed you here on TH-cam and I've been able to create myself the missing pieces and make multiple fun rooms, boxes and gifts since then.
Andrea you just made my day! I am so flattered and thrilled that my channel has been so useful to you. I can’t fully express how happy that makes me!! Thank you!! ❤️❤️
Once again your work is so nice I want to get a doll house or a room big enough to build a house of different rooms ..love you're work
Thank you! That sure sounds like a fun project!
Such a cute bookshelf, now you need dozens more books for it (because any avid reader knows you cannot have enough books!) lol. That mini level tho 😍 I could have done with something like that for what I'm working on right now. Luckily I think the floor in my gnome home is a bit wonky, things might accidentally even themselves out somehow lol
Thanks Nessie! I agree about the books. And more books are coming before I’m done. 😆
Holy cardstock! Your level of detail with your pattern design is just amazing. The Chair looks so good, perfect in your barbershop.
Thank you for your wonderful compliment!! I had so much fun making this chair as realistic as I could. So I’m thrilled to hear you enjoyed it!
I say this every video, but this is incredible! Absolutely blew my mind how detailed this was, all of your stuff is incredible, but this really took it to over the top! The details, how sturdy it looked too, all out of some layered paper is amazing!
Wow, thank you! So glad you enjoyed it!❤️
Oh yes this certainly is a cutie, I love how it looks, you can’t tell that it’s made from cereal boxes, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words. Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks amazing! I love how you did the books, so much faster then one at a time which is what I always see others doing! Everything for this build is coming together so nice! :)
Oh thank you! Glad to hear you’re enjoying the cottage build. Oh I wanted to tell you I tried the air dry clay tip you gave me. I watered it down some. I’m not sure I’m doing it right but I like it.
Do you have any videos showing the design process for your patterns/templates? I'd be interested to see that, but only if you're willing to share. The chair is fantastic!! ❤
Sorry no I don’t. I’m not quite sure how I would approach that. I’d love to but I probably would bore everyone with all of my research and looking up measurements of things. 😆 I look at a lot of photos of real objects. Then I take bits and pieces of several different things to create one. I find it relaxing and therapeutic. I lose all track of time and get lost.
I just love your work!! An open book on the bed or on the nightstand would be a cute touch. Do you watch Queen City Minis? If you don't already, I think you would enjoy her channel! Thanks for brightening my day!! 💕💖💕
I’m so glad to have brightened your day!! ❤️ Yes Shyra is very talented! Thanks for the ideas! I am trying to create most of the furniture first. Then I’ll add all the fun details. 😄
I thought I already saw your video for this week? You did the barbers chair? Don't tell me I'm dreaming up extra episodes..only kidding I saw it and loved it and am going to watch this too. I need some shelves and this will be perfect❤

Your creativity astounds me. I have so much inspiration when I watch your videos to just make little furniture just because I love your work. Do I have a need for a barber chair? No. Do I want one? Absolutely!
I Love that!! That’s pretty good I can inspire you to make something you don’t need! Glad to hear that!! Thank you! 😁
I'm continually amazed at how you can make such realistic looking items out of cardboard!
Thank you! I am flattered!☺️
@Lauras-tinyview it really looks awesome. I recently made a small cabinet from cardstock. I figured out an awesome woodgrain (faux) technique =, sharpened colored pencils in terracotta, light brown, and burnt sienna..and "scratched " those down my strip of cardstock (when i first did this, i was making a miniature bench and I used foam board from dollar tree and wanted a wood finish, so I did cardstock and "wrapped" it ) ⁸ I also colored Lines of watercolor pencil in wood tones (only coloring in one line direction) then..went over all of it with watercolor markers and it dried and looked like a small strip of wood! I hope that can maybe help someone..you seem to have the woodlook down Good..but I fig I would mention it's possible with cardstock.
@@izzyjones7108 Great tip! I’ve done something like that with chalk pastels.
I love it when my husband brings me a little thing-a-ma-jig or do-dad he has found and thought I could use it to create something.
Me too!! 🥰
That’s wonderful, thank you for the DIY!! If you want to make books with pages, you can remove the cover of a book leaving the spine glued together, then cut off the pages along the inner blank margin where the words start. 📚💖
That's a great idea! I have done it with magazines but never books. I need to pick up a book from goodwill and try that. You can get tons of books from one I’m sure. 👍🏼 Thank you!
You really are a genius Laura, the seat cushions etc., came out really looking like leather. I have seen Shyra from Queen City Mini's do that with crumpled brown paper but its good to know you can also do it with ordinary paper too. The chair is lovely❤
