    • @IslandADV
      @IslandADV 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey that's great! Congrats on the bike! But you have it right. It's just a vent line. Kind of like a "J-pipe" on big commercial bulk tanks in factories. When you pull fluid from the bottom on a vessel, you need some kind of venting. This little hose on the back does the job. It needs to be there though. It needs that length to provide the right amount of vent line.

    Planning a trip to Gaspe however this one will be on a cruiser and I’m sticking to 132 Blacktop. My question for you is about your comment on speaking French. • @IslandADV
      @IslandADV หลายเดือนก่อน

      Certainly not a deal breaker. But you get a lot of credit for trying to speak French in Quebec, and that adds a whole other level to the experience I find. So if you want to make the trip a bit more fun, try to see if you can get semi-comfortable with a few phrases for specific things like: How to pay for gas. How to pick up a meal you ordered online (Brandon's pro tip here, lol) How to check in to a hotel/campground. Good luck on your adventure!

Knowing about the drop center and using tire paste made it nearly effortless. Bead Buddy also helped. LOL, the flat fairy! I haven't had to change many flats and most of them caused by me changing tires and pinching the tubes. I had to learn the hard way but I've got it down to path now! Thank you for your guy's patience as I held up the ride.

    Man that forest road along the shore looks like a good one, do you know the name? I went to Sussex a few weeks back with a buddy, and on our way back (in the dark) he got a flat on his cruiser. Glad I had a plug kit and pump, we took our time going home, and saved calling the tow truck or going back with a trailer. Strangely, most of the traffic didn’t even move to the passing lane to pass, we felt a bit vulnerable. Trailside with a few buddies would have been nicer, lol. Cheers, thanks for sharing, and keep well!

    This has definitely been an odd summer. I haven't gotten out on the bikes much either and as a consequence I don't feel I was mentally prepared for my trip to Newfoundland. We got through it, but man some days were rough. I'm diggin' the trail side stand! Also, I think that they put those "bridge closed" signs up a couple years ago and forgot about them. Hahah

    • @IslandADV
      @IslandADV 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I figured that sign was fake news, lol. The big trips are hard on the head sometimes. For me at least. On the last two I did I really felt like something was missing and I know it's Mrs. Dowski. I'll have that solved by next season though. We've been doing longer trips together this summer getting ready for two-up adventures in 2025.
