The scenario was probably this Orc defected and went straight to the Overlord basically telling him “I use to work for the Tark, and I’ll tell you all his secrets!”, but the overlord killed him anyways, thinking he was a spy.

I once did the thing where every single orc was a spy, or close to all of them and when I attacked the fortress, he dragged one of my spies out. I was devasted at this fact. Then It showed his name and I realized this wasn't the guy I thought it was, So it was fine.

Is it possible to have an orc that died due to the overlord thinking they he was a spy come back?

It's easy to find the spies in this game. Just look for the guys in blue armor with the hand print on their face *ask them about their political veiw. If they answer with anything positive about the Bright Lord and they're not the Obsessed, stab them

I had this happen one time when I killed all warchiefs via betrayal but one whom I left alive. I honestly thought it was a bug until my guys laughed the overlord out of the park for being stupid.

i once made evryone in a fortress a spy and when i went to caputre it the overlord had to fight a ton of my captains

I had it happened multiple times xD

I like how everytime this happens to me it’s always an orc who I don’t know

They should have had some unique dialogue if that happens
