I think ankle biter can be alright in GB too. Trading fills your graveyard and GB has lots of good 3 drops, so it's also nice with Lively Dirge.

The most impressive Doc I have seen made alot of use outa tumbleweeds rising plots along side of bigger plot mobs like paladin etc. lots of power tuffness early .

I actually just had a really nice Boros deck after reading your notes on this. 2x great train heist, outlaws merriment (p1p1) and calamity.

I've had very good performance out of boros basically every time I draft it. Most decks are playing tap lands and trying to get to the late game, and the Outlaws Furys with the Stagecoach guy have been awesome. I keep getting passed the 4/3 boros rare, and it's been fairly easy to trophy. Edit: Bruce Tarl. You put him on screen like 15 seconds after I commented lol.

Any chance for some CEDH content ? I love Rograkh's Bouncy house deck 😊

A card I would want to check it's performance in WB is Bridled Bighorn: It could be at home as a 22nd playable in both the sacrifice(/token) deck and the flyers deck(, as there it helps hold the ground especially with a +1/+1 counter on it). It being a Mount synergizes with Shepherd of the Clouds as well and I've found it to be a welcome recursion piece when I have drafted a One Last Job, given Bridled Bighorn is the mount you are most likely to be able to draft in WB, despite preferring the other ones. Speaking of: I enjoy playing WB as a big game deck with cards like Bounding Felidar and, as I have been fortunate enough to have, Contagion Engine. As WB provide several oppportunities to get +1/+1 counters on your creatures, a double proliferation can do the trick.

definitely i have found that UR was some of my most fun drafts, while also being most of my 0-3s. Hopefully I can scrape back to a respectable win rate with your help!

Fantastic content as always. This is great stuff for the few rebels who like to explore the underpowered archetypes.

I havent played actual UR yet, but I had a grixis control deck that leaned more UR because I was seeing so many slick sequences late. I did some stack stuff with the slick sequences, but I did not realise that you can just hold control and cast 2 slick sequences and they'll see each other. Tks for the tip!

Loved the video. Might be cool to get a breakdown of solid creature/noncreature spell ranges you like to have in the decks. Maybe even a couple example deck pictures :)

How Do you value the 2 mana counter spell in the blue/red cast 2 spell deck ? Do you avoid it completely here or is the card good enough on its own ?

How many creatures are you looking to run in this archetype still 15 - 17?

this has been a really interesting format so far. feels bomb heavy but bombs aren’t hard to come by

rly cool. would be nice to see some deck examples at the end maybe (?).

I never thought of drafting Grixis as a mostly burn deck but this video really opened my eyes, specially on the giant, he's big enough to contend with the 4 power creatures. Gotta wait till fridays to save enough gold for the draft on Arena but will definitely try it out like this if I see Grixis colors are open

Sam filling in the gaps with this "secret knowledge" is so welcome! haha, Sam could easily write clickbait titles for his youtube videos, such as "THESE 3 WEIRD SECRETS THAT OTHER STREAMERS ARE MISSING WILL IMPRESS YOU!!" and still actually be accurate, haha

so far, the only consistent pattern among all my trophy decks is one thing : removal at any cost. 5-8 removal spells are a must to even be a contender in this format. and sometimes you still lose to a guy dropping 2 terrors of the peaks in a row. -,-k

Unscrupulous Contractor has finished off some opponents with the loss of 2 life. I like it.

Some really good analysis in this video! However it didn't help when I was on my trophy match and my opponent was one "SamuelHBlack" who proceeded to out-value my Boros deck into the dust 🤣. I almost had you at the end of game 2 but you had two removal spells to get rid of my Taii Wakeen when I was holding a desert in my hand to trigger her second ability and burn you for exactsies next turn. GG and it was an honor to lose to the best limited player on Arena. Next time you stream I owe you my Prime sub.

its super interesting that all the content creators before the early access event were very hyped/high on a splashy-deserts-good cards archetype, but you came away from the event with the opposite impression/found it impractical. thanks for the video!

Sets are too fast. Thats a thing a lot of people complain about, but WotC needs way too long to respond to that feedback.

I like the episode! As a suggestion I would like to see some examples of those decks, even if you are quite clear while you speak it's hard to picture. For me at least!

I believe wotc has spoken on having green focus on ramp but not fixing. This could be more relevant in future sets. good episode! thanks

how valuable is the 2/2 signpost for you ?

just drafted this pretty much blind tonight and sam’s advice really speaks to my experience. a lot of drafters ended up with piles that just didnt have a whole lot of play creatures or otherwise

Wish we'd gotten one of these on War of the Spark flashback! BTW gotta credit Sam's work for helping me get to mythic (for my 4th time) in MKM limited... amazingly with one of the worst decks (rareless forced Boros) I've drafted in the format.

I went Red/Black one time, and that was cause I was actually Mardu after drafting a pretty solid Boros pack 1 and got Vein Ripper pack 2. My feeling with Black throughout MKM has been stay away unless you get a busted rare, and the only truly busted rare in Black (in my experience) is Vein Ripper.

You have good content. But you might make your content more widely available if you change you titles up a bit. E.g. Drafting Red & Green on MTG Arena in Karlov Manor

Great content and love the explanation on how to approach the 3 color mana base in MKM is great. It would be nice, for other videos, to include a word or two on under what circumstances one ends up in a discussed Archetype. Here someone asked that question, but it would be great to have it for each deck.

What about the 5 mana GW disguise common? I know GR isn't going super wide, but that one has been an over performer for me. Do you rate it above the others?
