bro u have to to update the driver ... if u have update it or it is not working then u have to download it manually form the company site then install it then done ... i have same problem now it is fix .... by using this process

Hey folks, I know this was three years ago, but if you recently got the problem after updating Windows, you have to update your BIOS too. That fixed it for me. I was worried that my trackpad was ruined because I had just cleaned the grease with a wet wipe. I got scared that the chemicals could have melted it or something. But after updating the BIOS it worked, and I'm so relieved. Update your BIOS drivers, people! Do it from the app MyAsus. Also update everything else: components, graphic card, CPU, all the drivers you should update. So that it's smooth

My laptop was always stuck in Bios Utility Ez Mode, so I gave the laptop to a friend and he installed windows 10 for me. But the mouse pad was not working anymore. What worked for me was to go to settings>device manager>security and updates> and click install to all pending updates. Once the laptop restarted, I did hold FN+F11 and the touch pad was finally on :) works fine now!

As most of other commentaries, I also have the same problem. The salestore said me they are going to send me other new (let's see it) but for what i can see, it seems like many laptops are coming with this problem from factories =/ The quality control in this product dont seem to be good enough.

Bro its just your touchpad pin is loose open the laptop reconnect the pins from both sides touchpad as well as mother board it will be fine

its a bit odd but my fix for my fx505dy is to remove the touchpad flex cable and scratch the contact points until its gold (kinda)again on both ends so it would be clean enough to detect the touchpad itself.

In advance mode of BIOS utility, check if the internal pointing device is enabled or disabled. It should be enabled for touchpad to work.

-Press Windows key + X -Go to Device Manager -Expand the Human Interface Device -Look for HID Touchpad driver that was installed -Right click and Update -Look for "Browse my computer for driver -Let me pick drivers available drivers -Choose an old driver and use it.

Go to device manager, right click on i2c hid device, disable, then enable, press fn + f10 to enable touchpad and it worked

Same problem with me, this is issue with BIOS. When new updates came it will be solved. Otherwise after one month file case in consumer court.

My touchpad works, but it has so much input lag that it is unusable. I tried all possible drivers, unfortunately without success. My solution is called Linux, it works flawlessly there.

Mine is working only when I'm in the bios. But it doesnt appear the internal pointing device option anywhere. It doesnt appear any touchpad configuration too. Any solution?

May be its a hardware issue just open the laptop unplug and plug the touchpad ribon to the motherboard

I can't fix it tho, when I go to the device manager, I can't see I2C HID Device. I can only see the mouse installed on my laptop. This happened when I accidentally disabled the touchpad, and after that I can't enable it anymore using the same function key but before, I can enable it again by using the same function key. I tried installing a driver using windows powershell but there is no driver installed. I hope someone knows here how to fix this problem.

just got the laptop and I love it, but I cant lie the touchpad on this thing is where asus really saved some money. Thank you for the vid tho, I found it odd how it just disabled the touchpad by itself on my laptop but I just reenabled it and its good now.

I tried uninstalling , upaditing drivers all of them but nothing was working, one time i accidentally put laptop to the sleep using fn+f11 and then after some time again pressed fn+f11 to wake it up and my touchpad was working again. I thought that might just be like but, this keep happening to me and i fix it every time using sleep methon its been 4-5 time till now and everytime sleep method worked for me, (if not working try plugging in laptop then put to sleep then unplug and then wake it up) Hope it might help somebody cause its really annoying how touchpad just suddely doesn't work

Try bios update. If that doesnot work, pop the lower hood clean the riboon cable for track pad and stick some tape over it so it doesnot move.

Guys its a Driver bug maybe you guys can save a lot of time if you follow my steps. I just solved the issue from the video 2:52 there Right click on the (I2C HID Device) just Disable and Enable the driver the problem will be solved. (shortcut to enter the settings :- Press (Windows icon) key and ( X ) button there left side select Device Manager) that’s it guys ;) thankyou sry for my bad english

1. right clic on the warning - 2. disable (it will show u a warning, just click ok) - 3.enable. Done!!!
