Kinda figured theyd improve the pld/war lb3 beyond ff11 texture resolution by now but hey. A few other old jobs could use some more wow factor too, but those two are kinda bad heh!

Most of the job skills are originated from Edgar Roni Figaro. He's just that guy who invent a lot of tools and FFXIV just make the animation of those tools very satisfying. Too bad no Chainsaw with Hockey Mask.

Heated Slug Shot is lowkey one of my favorite animations in the game. Something about shooting bullets that sit in the air for a second makes my brain tingle.

Thanks for sharing. It would be nice to see a version that includes special follow up skills that might technically not be the LB, but have to take place right after it.

A lot of these animations are so good I wish they were part of the job’s regular kit. Good video demonstrating them!

Firstly I'm sorry about how this video looks. I usually film these in dungeons but with this being PvP the only place I could film this is The Wolves Den which is subject to day/night cycles and weather patterns (apparently it rains there a lot!) Meaning the colour/background changes a lot. I've tried to brighten the darker ones so hopefully you can still see it. Maybe someday the devs will take pity on me and allow explorer mode into PvP areas (as well as every other area)! I actually filmed it in Materia during their night time to avoid other players but you would not believe how many people from all over the world were meeting there to duel and play together. I often had to interrupt filming and change worlds to avoid them and not get in their way. TDLR, it was a pain in the arse to make. Secondly, if you don't play PvP the limit breaks have a lot of different uses other than damage (status effects, damage boosts etc) so even if they look a little underwhelming they're pretty fun and way more satisfying to use than the PvE ones... mostly. However a lot of them look pretty great and my favourite looking move in FFXIV is also a PvP LB (Machinist in case you're wondering). Lastly, I hope you enjoy. I started making these animation videos after the launch of Dawntrail. I stared at Ninja's hotbar with all the discontinued skills and couldn't remember what they were (I don't play Ninja, just levelled it). I thought it was kinda sad that the moves are lost to time and although I'm sure they exist out there somewhere I don't think the skills have been documented by expansion quite as thoroughly

Can anyone tell me what the swaying emote is that the Picto is doing in their intro? I cannot find it and don't know what to search to figure out what it is.

It's interesting to see that there's a lot of subtle hints and motifs of soundwaves in the physical sciences sense :o 4:00 Wanderer's Minuet has a lot of soundwave motifs in it 4:47 Same with Pitch Perfect 6:43 Apex Arrow plays a lot around the themes of constructive and destructive interference. You can see where the balls intersect that there's a glow there. not related to science but 7:19 Resonant Arrow looks very referential to Oschon's attacks with all the green with white arrows.

Bard has some of the most beautiful yet simple skill animations

I appreciate this done in different angles! Lotta these classes I never intend to play but hot damn do their LB3s make them look absolutely badass, no questions asked. So many little details I never noticed. I love how Sages just orchestrates the LB3 with their movements and AST is so simple/snappy, but absolutely commands the moment! Love how crunchy and crackly VPR's feels, and BLM just makes me laugh at how ecstatic the user looks raining down hell! Everyone's LBs are so cool!
