How to know the size of RevTech motor you have
มุมมอง 11K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This video will help show what size RevTech motor you have. I want to stat that towards the end when I start the recap I started of with Gen 2 but said Gen 3 by mistake..I'd also like to say that when it comes to Gen 3 100" & 110" they are simular and have no external differences and visually cant see differences, but more than likely it will be a 110" over the 100 "as that was the majority sol...

Great work space
Awesome. Great job, planning and execution. Truth is I’m here to say thanks for your incredible RCBS 3 way trimmer video. Wow. It wouldn’t let me leave a comment there. Any chance you could do one on their carbide outside chamfering tool please? I’d pay you! Please keep the vids coming. Thank you again sir.
I appreciate the comment. I have comments on now on the other video. I didn't realize comments were turned off. As for the chamfer tool, I dont have that particular tool. so I will not be doing any videos or reviews on it at this time.
Nice set up
How do you deal with humidity in that space?
No issues with humidity in that room, its air conditioned and heated along with the rest of the home..
Hi
I hope you’re still out there. Just wondered if you made the wheel at the bottom of the hopper or did you buy that off the shelf? If you made it what did you make it out of?
Hi, I'm still here. Just haven't made any videos lately...As for the part, I made it, and the material used was Delrin Plastic
Does it work with rimmed or tapered straight cases?
12 years later and they still use the plastic collets. It comes in a big plastic tube now instead of a box. I still haven’t got a JHP to feed. But ima try until i get mad enough to say screw RCBS and get the new franklin x10 progressive and tell my wife it was the die’s fault.
I do you tell which collet is for which caliber?
This is shit...crappy..
Wow. Where did u gwt the drum?
Get
If you are referring to the silver one, they are round Aluminum cake pans that are modified and can be purchased at many home goods stores
Cable . . . ? Do you mean "HOSE"?
If 308 win handles around 60.000 psi so Is it possible to make brass case for 460 Rowlands?
I have used this bullet feeder system for some time (years) if i find the soft spot on this darn thing it can work for some time, till it starts to hick up, either not feeding bullets or you get an avalanche of bullets. I am not to impress with this bullet feeding system. Also, adjusting the bullet head angle has only 3 position, not good, bad and worse. RCBS has an excellent service, so it is just to call whenever you need replacement parts, and they will ship it to you for free. I also dislike the primer feed system; you must keep this clean as f*&^ or it will start to screw up. Every 3-500 round and you have to make sure you blow out all crud, there is always some powder spillage and crud from the primer pockets, this creates problems for the primer feed system on a 2000. ( I have reloaded in the 100 000 of rounds on this press, so I have some experiance. )
How much flared case goes to 1st collet? It just touch it? I can't made working it for my 38/357... ugh...
My 38/357 squizes flared case and made it almost impossible to use...
I haven’t been able to find the freechex website. Did they go out of business?

I don't suppose you make and sell these do you?
Best one I've seen yet
You should be proud - that is such a great build and I get a glimpse of all the hard work and skill that you’ve put into it. I’d love to build one too. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration.
Holy hell dude!! Are you selling these
Great job, your explanation and diagrams are excellent...thank you
Thanks. J.
Hi, I'm in the middle of building one of these, but I can't get hold of the black nylon wheel that transfers the brass from the hopper. I presume it's nylon? Could you give me the details you used in your internet search to find this type of item? Also, could you give me it's width, depth, and center hole diameter. I'm in the UK. Thank-you in advance. J.

The wheel is made of Delrin or aka Acetal. I will have to see if I still have files of my prints what I machined it too.
Great. Job. It's great when you have access to machine tools I don't. Who sells them. I have been to that. Stupid bottles site.
Very nice work. Looks more professional and definitely has more features than the commercial units. Likely would cost more as well.
nice unit, I would just add a couple adjustable feet to the front to overcome the case taper. I am thinking of an automated annealer with a drop through and inductive heater. Not sure what your using for motors and controls, but if you used steppers and controllers with an arduino, you could program it to only drop a round on the ramp right after the drum had accepted the previous round. and control the time they are annealed as well.
Thought about selling this ? Also, if not do you have an up to date link on the design?
Did the you post your plans for this again somewhere else? I'm assuming facebook may have made you take it down.
Do you sell these?
I dont not make these to sell, I couldn't mfg them cheap enough to sell
You should start selling them. Lol. I don’t have the skill to make them.
I did exactly what he said, it worked for a while but the bullets kept on getting stuck. I called Hornady and they told me that I had to purchase some kind of lubricant because the two collets in the Hornady Bullet Feeder scrap off material off the bullets. I use coated bullets. I called Hornady the sent me two new collets. I didn't polish the collets and the bullets still stuck. It's a good design but it needs to be perfected in order for bullets can be fed. There's one more thing that was not mentioned in the video. The belling of the case has a lot to do with the bullet feeding. I tried to increase the belling it almost damaged my bullet seater die because the belling was too much. I would not recommend the bullet feeder.
It's a piece of crap. I did everything the video said to do and it still didn't work. Don't waste your money.
How would I get blueprints for this? I don't have Facebook
Do you sell these?
I do not, I could not build these cheap enough to sell at a price people would be willing to pay, plus with online sales tax now mandatory, materials cost even more now than when I built this
glue plexi to a rod with a magnet like targetmaster
Not sure what your comment is referring too? Plus I dont know or heard of targetmaster
@@KarwathKustoms sorry thetargetmaster in comments below. He has a piece of plexi attached to a metal rod with a magnet that attached in front of hopper to hold casings from tumbling out when they are stacked high
@@alanc1872 I plan on building a different style when I get time, so I will not be putting anymore fab work into this one
What are the overall dimensions?
Just thought for the hopper, if you use some threaded rod in 4 of those bolt holes with a spring and washer to push back on some plexi, you could then adjust in and out with a wing nut or something for different length cases.
Excellent build. Would like to see any other info that you might be able to provide. Your FB is down.
Karwarth-Kustoms, I use .451 45 acp coated bullets. Will the coated bullet work without having to do any polishing?. The bullet fell right through collet "B". When I tried collet "A" it fell to a certain point inside collet "A" and stopped. There's an inside ring in collet "A". I do believe coated bullets will work. Please let me if coated bullets will work. Thanks Oh, Great Vid.
I would sugest trying with stock size first and make sure to use the directions on adjustments before polishing any materials off. Just remember if you polish material off its diameter so for example if you take half thousands off it totals 1 thousands.. so aleays try stock size first and only remove what you need and go slow and take your time, cant add material if you take to much..dont rush it.
@@KarwathKustoms I tried just dropping on coated through the collet it worked. But I have tried using the Bullet Feeder yet. I'm going to try it today. I'll let you know how it worked.
I had to polish both collets like you said in your video. It did take time, but it did work. I tested about 50 coated bullets the bullet feeder worked perfectly. Thanks for the help. Great vid.
Hi, thanks for the video. I'm looking for Freechex ™ III in different calibres, but I can not find this tool anywhere on the internet. Is there anything comparable that cuts and transforms gas checks in just one operation? greetings from Germany
I dont make the Freechex but this is where you need to go to contact the makers of the unit www.freechex.net/photo_i.html
Very impressive work! I want to build one. Where did you source your parts from. I very much like the upgrades that you did. Awesome DIY Case Anneler, well done!
Hello. Do you have the measurements for a 9mm feeder tube?
Thank you again for sharing. Looking at the picture of the inside assembled unit, included in the drawings, there is something like a power distribution unit not listed in the parts list. There is the power supply but what is the unit sitting to the left when you look at the open back on the bottom of the cabinet? Can you tell me what it is?
If it's the one I'm thinking of it's a small power unit to run the fans and prox sensor/counter
What sensor are you using?
Inductive proximity sensor, most if not all Electronics can be purchased off of eBay and sites alike for a low cost, I dont have a brand name to give you
outstanding work and features
Thanks
Where did you get you case to mount everything into? I’ve been looking around and can’t find a nice one like what your using.
Its handmade
What did you make the feeder drum of? The black one. Hockey puck?
Machined down Delrin plastic, aka Acetal.
Thank you
What dimensions did you machine it down to?
