I find it funny how people make shit up to fuel their own fantasy. There's 20 minutes missing from the movie and Kubrick died before the final edit. There's also a missing narration that was never put in the movie. The studio rushed it out to cash in on Kubricks death.

Quite a cliffhanger

Right at the beginning of the movie, Alice undresses, but didn't wear underwear right from the beginning. Where did she come from? A party? Maybe she was part of the cult, not knowing or remembering, set under drugs. Interesting is also the look of the two women, who tried to seduce Bill. When he was called to Mr. Ziegler, they looked at each other in a certain way.

Ad to all those who have already interpreted - to summary the symbolism: 1) the magic circle game 0:08 2) the men with the dolls under their arms -especially the one on the left with the signifiant scarf 0:13 3) a bear "he's big" with the same significant scarf like the man with the doll under his arm. 0:41 Alice: "wait and see" - what might be happening for Christmas. Don't (they) sacrifice children for Christmas? Look at the other stuffed animals: tigers and lions are watching 4) a stuffed animal blindfolded with a red scarf over its eyed and tied up on the hands 0:54 - just right after Alice said "wait and see" 5) another bear with a significant scarf and seemingly something that appears like an erected penis 1:08 6) Helen showing the Barbie doll (nutcracker, hands like baphomet) 1:16 7) shot back on the bear, now with a doll between his legs 1:18 8) when they turn into that corner at 1:30, when Helen is seen for the last time and they make some subtle goodbye gestures, you see tigers (predators) on the right side 9) the man with shoulder long hair and the big bag under his arm appears behind Helen. - it seems true and makes sense, that Helens look mirrors Amandas look before they get sacrificed - also interesting in this scene is that first, Alice comments on the doll baby carriage "nice", a bit later, she says: it's old-fashioned. So this kind of shows her attitude towards traditional family. - at the beginning of the movie, when the babysitter sits with Helen, they are on a red sofa. So is Amanda "Mandy" in the bathroom at the party and the daughter of the costume provider that sells herself to the Asian men. - the men in the final scene, that are followed by Helen are supposed to appear early in the movie at the party scene sitting on a table near a staircase. The man with the shoulder long hair and the big bag is supposed to be a waiter at that initial party. --------------------------------------------------- - also the puppet game between the two purple puppets on strings suggest that something strange is going on. Alexander Podesta has made "art" that suggest cruel forced engagement between children. Look for the "artwork", where the white bunnies "fight" against each others, having given scissors in their hands .. held on their ears by an adult. - I think that Mandy / Amanda might have been pregnant and her baby has been sacrificed which made it easier for her to redeem Bill. Her pregnancy was suggested by the painting in the bathroom scene. Maybe after losing her baby, there wasn't much reason for her to survive in that cult as a prostitute.

Kubrick in all his movies actually doesn’t mean anything more than what you see but he puts bunch of different theories in place to make people obsess that there is more to it. And it obviously works very well. He likes to make people think there are different explanations possible. He likes to mess with the audience. Simple

I understand all the NY locations were recreated on sound stages in England, which is astounding. This is exactly what FAO Schwartz was like at Christmas in the late 90's. They must have sent an army of people to survey and photograph every inch. Even the customers are spot on.
