Not at all.. if He is not tired he fights a lot upon release and can hurt himself while doing it. here was treated carefully and swam away relaxed and with no harm. On a current and massive fish like that you can not speed up things - or you release it will break of the streamer and escaped. if you would catch one like that - you would know I guess.. cord. saluti Marco..

@@Hucho-Hucho-fishing-Slovenia I read with interest what you mean and I hope you are right. I'm an old salmon flyfisher and I had learnt to use strong tippet to bring the fish faster on the banks...but sometimes it's not enough. There are many factors that works bad for these fantastic creatures who give us memorable moments and could be a pity bring them to death just for a "long play" . Best regards amico mio!

@@marcocipriani9747 Agree.. but even 100 lbs tippet would not change situation - either you cut the jaw with the spear hook - and loose the fish or it breaks the hook while 18kg of muscle pools with the current... I WAS there and I LAND that fish - so I speak from experience. All the rest are comments and theories. At the end we both set the hook in that jaw - you with your short play or we with our careful play. Ultimate protection of the fish would only be - not fishing for them any more..

Hi Leo - during the outside washing, a lot of water will enter also INSIDE the waders - and that will be more than enough to clean the interior of the waders. But mentioned that - make sure you DRY the waders on BOTH sides - first on the outside, than turn them inside - out and thoroughly dry them once more. Before boxed - waders must be pepper-dry. Hi There! hm.. hard question since performance of each river depends of her level status, actual weather condition, season etc etc.. but to shrink down favourites: Sava Bohinjka river, Sava Radovljica river, Sora, Savinja. Those are ok for fly fishing aswell spinning. Sava near Medvode, Ljubljana and lower the stream can be good aswell but more for spinning.. hope this was in some help. Thank you Jure Gombač for your thoughts; no, he was using 0.40mm tippet. But that does not change the fact, that the big Fish is using the whole weight and surface of her big body to lean against the water current and consequentially boosts her power dramatically.. As second - you never know how is she hooked - many time just for the lips or small part of her mouth area.. with a SINGLE BARBLESS hook. Every forcing would cause the spear point hook cuts the skin - and off she goes your life-time catch. Would you risk? Not sure about your carp fishing (did notice carp in your logo) but in the realms of the Hucho fly fishing - we need to do - as Jan did.. patiently and with absolutely no pumping, forcing etc.. @@Hucho-Hucho-fishing-Slovenia oh c'mon. really? i also fish for hucho and never heard of a fight that long. 10 min is already a crazy amount of time. i would be surprised if the fish survived. if you fish c&r you have to think about the fish not about the photo. shorten the fight even if you risk loosing the fish. and with todays gear fighting a fish like that in a big pool shouln't be a problem

Because in long time practice and several big fish catches - we still haven`t figure that out. Jan K. who`s catch you comment - can be your Guide. Imagine you are chasing the fish for days and days.. rain, cold, heavy lines.. all your body hurts.. and than finally that brutal pull you were after! The doze of the adrenaline released makes handling of the line really difficult.. on top of that constant fear that the fish will fall of that barbless single hook.. it.s truly a good job - if you bring all this to a happy end :-D

Hi Hubert! thanks for your question! I believe he used class line 9 and 9ft length.. you need heavy rod if you want to be able putting some control on the fish.. if you would be using class line 7 or even 8, fish would do with you what she wants :-)

@@Hucho-Hucho-fishing-Slovenia mi smo se čuli početkom godine, da bih vas posjetio.. Sve je bilo isplanirano, godišnji i skijanje, na žalost slomio sam ruku(dlan) i bila je operacija. Sve smo otkazali jer sam mjesecima doma. Nadam se prije Božića vratiti na posao i nema srca reći šefu ja odoh na godišnji.. Sve mi je propalo , sve.. Ali bar sam se opremio dobro. I Spinning i fly oprema.. Sad mrkva.

ZAISTA? pa to nemože čovjek da vjeruje.. u vrh ludila covid - još ode ruka..?? pa to Bože nije hteo da ovako dobar ribar dođe gore i napali njegovu omiljenu ribu!? drugog odgovora tu nema! :-D ozbiljno - samo neka se ono fino izcjeli a bude 2023 kada se vidimo - mi planiramo ostat tu! ;-) Pratite ovaj kanal, mi čemo dat što moguče da se fino popuni sa ulovima!

pa počinje različito - zavisi od revira.. npr. 1 Oktobra več je možno pecati mladicu na velikoj Savi.. mala sava (Bohinjka) otvara 15og novembra, neki deo čak i 1 decembra.. a onda SVA priča završi na isti datum - Februar 14 zadnji dan na svima revirima..

most of the population is reproducing naturally. But in case of a bad spawning season, fishing club can also release a certain quota of 2 year old Huchen in the river.. Gruss!

Well.. because it is a war 😄 against the harsh elements, our own limitations (how much can you endure out there in the cold) and super avoiding Huchos.. As this might look easy - it can take seasons to be able film it in this way.. and for the end.. Adrenaline dose that you receive when hooking this size Huch can only be found on the battlefield.. 😀
