Looks great, I'm just looking for same boxes now to copy this. Has it helped your water quality having the shower? I'm running a gravity fed nexus 220 but after 9 months I'm still getting ammonia and nitrite readings so hoping a shower from my skimmer will help.

Seeing what was the site of the pond looking like that is heart wrenching. Glad to see you've got the bikes to keep you busy but I really do miss the koi and pond videos. Hopefully 2023 will be the year you find a new place and get back into the koi hobby. 👍🏻 🎏🐟

Sorry to see you shut your Pond down Lee, but as you said, you have your reasons. I left the hobby for about 6 years there, and likewise I was gutted when I shut it down. Like you, I had my reasons at the time, and it had to be done. I’m just back into the hobby this year with my latest self-built pond and filter system mate. Yes it is a smaller pond, but that was partly due to space and knowing that living costs were due to be on the rise. After the break tho, I’m loving having a pond back, yes, its smaller but its more manageable and cheaper to build and run. If I feel any koi get too big, then I’ll simply move them on and enjoy growing on smaller ones again. 🤷🏼‍♂️ You’ll build another one I’m sure, and you will probably enjoy it all the more the next time round, simply something to look forward to..👍🏼 Stay positive…….. 🐟⛩ and good luck for 2023 the potential house move 🤞🏼

So sorry to hear that you've decided to close down the pond and had to move on the koi that you loved so much.
