Ya I hate raid too, I've been playing for a little over a year and I quit spending any money or expect any legendary champs from shards, I've been playing WOR for just a few months and have more legendary champs than on raid, raid definitely needs to fix the shard rates and make it easier to get shards, they should call it rare shadow legends 😂, the game where you get rares and nothing else...

I have a love and hate relationship with raid lol, i do love it and i dont care about most problems, besides the way it makes me wanna spend money like its crack. Edit: I do agree that the + system is silly.

they need a shard exchange shop for champions we can choose to work up currency for. But at the end of the day they work for a gambling company. They want nothing more than profit with slow to minimal changes in order to just keep us around long enough to sink more time or money into the game. If you aren't spending like the whales you will always waste years of your life in games like this. Microtransactions have killed the gaming industry as a whole. Soon I swear we are going to have to pay a weekly fee to get rid of ads inside the game on top of needing to spend for bare minimum the way its going. I wish you luck and hopefully we will see you when they can make more improvements. IF they choose to make more QOL improvements.

I think you are doing the right thing at the beginning of any game. Everyone has this internal thing that tells them whether this is the best option or not, but it does not matter frankly in either case because the goal of the game in the beginning is to have fun. Looks nice. Play Raid from time to time, but it s insane for f2p players. If this game is just as expensive (to get some good characters) I don t think it will be a huge game (but what do I know 😊). The players that found Raid too expensive will not fall for the same trick again and the whales from Raid will not start from scratch. Game looks really good. Especially background, the characters themselves don t blow me away but will give the game a try for sure!

Another example of a good game that sold to a greedy predatory company and then turned into a cash grab. The desperate amount of money people spend to "win" or be "better" is embarrassing. And a lot of these guys take pride in their accounts and how much they spend. It's not accomplishments, none of it was earned, it's just credit card swiping. Like that guy that spent $1,000,000 on his account I don't remember his name because he's irrelevant but, it's like... why even play if you have to pay that much. I understand someone spending a few bucks on some extra energy or gems if they are just bored over the weekend but... yikes, anything beyond that is cringe. It's like going to the store and buying a trophy to put on a shelf and lying to everyone that you won it. 🤷‍♂

I think Sham, one of the cofounder sets of Fateless, made another game called Incarnate which had some NFT aspects to it. I think a lot of gamers in general are turned off by NFT which is a big reason these games haven’t really taken off.

check out the news on the guild of guardians website. there's a lot of information about what pets do and also other new things. also regarding redoing endless mode. also they are working on core 2 and gen 2 guardians. it's just a lot more nuanced to release new guardians in a web3 game because you have players that spent money on the game. so you can't just release new op guardians and make the old guardains useless. i think everyone is agreeing with you that we need more usecases for different guardians and they are working on it.

Oh, another vital point for the game's recovery: if they manage to bring new players after making the changes the new folks will need guilds. And because of the terrible NFT guilds idea players can't create guild inside the game. That also needs to change asap, because we have a ton of inactive players holding dead guilds inside the game, while new and old active players are unable to create new guilds of their own.

I agree with everything, Mike. And I also agree with the fact that despite of having a lot to add and fix, there's still hope for the game if they do these changes right. I don't think u mentioned, but the minting price for heroes needs to change as well. I don't know the price in dollar, but spending the equivalent of almost 5 bucks (or more) to mint a RARE NFT, and 15 to 20 for old LEGENDARY is way too much for the conversion. In other P2A games I played I used to pay less than a dollar to mint heroes. Sometimes cents. If your game is dying and u desperately need new players, the price of entry needs to be lower. Much lower. And yeah, I specially agree with the ENDLESS comments. It needs a total make over. And even if you're not planning to change it, the prizes need to be better. If u want to obligate me to excessive click a boring gaming mode for 30 minutes straight at least give me a excellent reason to do it. Also agree with the insane level of grinding that the game demands. Everything is impossible to max in here. Gear, levels and enlightenment levels. Look at how many bases u need to properly max a legendary hero. It's crazy. But if u really think about it, most of the things that drive us crazy in this game are easily fixable: minting prices, excessive clicking, absurd levels of grinding, how resources are rare (specially gold). That's why I'll stick around to see if they do it.

GOG is marketed as play 2 earn. Outside of whales .. no one is earning. The game is mid, support sucks. RIP GOG

I also still have a small hope that it will improve, however I will admit that I have downloaded another game. I will compare the two in the future and see if it is worth continuing with it or not.

Mike, I'm also an older player. And, like u, I will continue to give a chance for the game. But, oh my fucking god, these guys have never play a fucking gatcha before. It has to be it. A gatcha fucking game that gives u no reason to use calling crystals... like, almost no new heroes, and when u launch them u don't put in the rotation of the calling crystals with the older heroes... how? that's the first thing a gatcha RPG has have. P2E or not. And like u said, every gatcha game needs free players. Even heavily pay to win games like this one. How do they not know that? So yeah, a lot needs to change to keep this game alive for a bit longer. Things like and endlessly boring Endless mode. That forces u to engage almost 30 minutes of your day in a mode that offers u no challenge, while obligating u to click several times a minute to choose between things that are senseless. I don't know which is worse: the endless bore or that absurd decision of going against the basic principle of supply and demand, making the new NFT heroes cost less to mint than the old ones. The new ones very few players get, while the old ones, that we could use to get radiant souls, we can't because to get more and more expensive to mint. It's baffling.
