Useless video
Does that have an ejector spring?
Yes it has a election mechanism with a spring.
When sanding the buttstock, ALWAYS sand with the buttplate on. That way you don't round over the stock and it will remain flat. Also, you might want to use CitriStrip to strip the finish.
Thanks for the advice and thanks for watching.
Amazing video! I really learned a lot from this!😀😀
Great! I don't post many of these videos because no one watches them. I make a lot of drawings in fusion and 3d print them before I make the part from metal. Thanks for watching
I didn’t think it was possible but these instruction are even worse than the manual
Too fast. I didn’t see how the string was attached to the crank
Sorry for going to fast. From what I remember the string just wrapped around the crank. Just rip the thing apart and keep track of things and you will do fine. Remember you can't screw it up. its already broken.
To be clear, if if make the appropriate changes to the wires on the motor like you showed, then I can make a pigtail to adapt to my 220 plug in my garage and just plug the compressor into the pigtail with no other wiring needed?
#1 change your motor wiring from 120 to 220. #2 plug the compressor into a 220 outlet that is the correct amps. Reference you motor spec. The only reason I make a pigtail is the plug on my compressor did not match the 220 plug on the wall. Just put a plug on your compressor cord that matches your 220 plug on the wall.
I appreciate you making the video, I learned something. Sorry your compressor didn’t have a good motor on it. You should fix it if your up for the task
My problem is that the quill autofeed knob is almost impossible to engage either way. I can tap lightly with a small brass hammer, it will engage and work properly, but it should work with just fingers. Same with pulling out on the knob, which required pliers. Sounds like a fun do-it-yourself project. 😞
Lol. And it not like you use the auto feed all the time. This was something I wanted to fix but didn't have to Thanks for watching
Very neat recently purchased 2 nos castiron horizontal i/c briggs and stratton engines one is the copper color its a 14hp made in 1971. The other is a red 10hp early 1990s. Its like yours but still uses the castiron block instead of aluminum.
This was given to me from my daughters neighbor. I walked into his basement and told him if you want to get rid of that let me know. He called me 6 months late and said come and get it. I picked it up a lunchtime from work. took it back to work put gas in it and you got the video. Thanks for watching.
@@theundergroundesd good deal I bought my 10hp for a little under a thousand
30:41 can’t see anything, you never hold it up to the camera
sorry. Its a 4" calibration rod.
Very nice and clean engine sounds great
Thanks.
Bottom drawer 1 inch 3 inch and 4 inch are standards that were used in old school jig bore machines that had a tray with a perpendicular channel you laid those in to set up distances between holes.
Thanks for the info and thanks for watching
Top small drawer on left is a taper gage, it's precision ground to check slot width and quick check hole size.
it would help if you talk slower and show the opening in the tilting hinge component.
Sorry I will keep that in mind. Do you a specific question about the hinge? Just take your time you can get it fixed
You say go to this website. What is it? I see not the website you speak of...
go to ebay search cyclekeysonline. I have a picture in the video. Thanks from watching
You are supposed to screw the outer screw down on to the chain to surround the existing riveted pin. This does 2 things-it holds the chain in place in the tool, and it also supports the actual pin that is driven by the inner screw as you screw it in and press out the chain link pin.
You talk too much get on with it
I had to use the key part that came with the new fob. Then you tap out the pin and swap out the key part.
nice Thanks for the advice. The other remote needs replaced now.
I have my grandfathers Gerstner tool chest. It's a wonderful piece and the tools from him and my toolmaker father are still there in really good shape.
Thats cool. I hope you get out in your shop and use them. Thanks for watching.
Under the cover, that would be your start capacitor.
Thanks for figuring it out so I didn’t have to. Turned a 45min job into a 15min job.
Glad I could Help. Thanks for watching
Thank you for creating this video. Very helpful training on how to take apart and troubleshoot. Great job!
Thanks for watching. Im glad I could help
So does that mean I can't take the oil tank and oil pump off the bike and just use pre-mix? Thanks, Rick
I say don't remove the pump. I did mix the gas. But on the pump side I disconnect the cable to the pump so the pump would only supply a small amount of oil to the barring and the Carburetor. The bike ran good. Keep the oil tank full of 2 stroke oil.
4 years a FAILURE!
Now you need to design a project around it.
Lol. That is a great idea. Not sure if I can. Thanks for watching.
Perhaps installing some thin section 'O' rings on the shanks of the bolts would help to keep them firmly centred in their holes.
Yes. The love of my life is pressuring me to build something next to the pool to serve as a pool house and a storage area. I'm in the planning phase. Stay posted.
Looks like your out growing the underground. Lol
Looks awesome!
Thanks my friend
Great job!
thanks
Thanks Ill try it. I have been wanting to create another QR code but its such a hassle. Thanks for watching and the tip.
I know this is a year old but have you tried selecting all the "white" area of the QR code then inverting the selection instead of manually selecting each area? I did it this way and it was way quicker. just a thought! thanks for the vid.
The last drawer you opened one box that was a universal dial test kit. The gage was likely laying in the top bin. The boxes that had individual micrometer heads are used with end measures for setting up jig bore machines. I think I saw a few parallels in there. A huge haul and a major windfall for a hobbyist. BTW: Those 18" long grooved rules are very costly these days. Just the blades alone, not even counting the square, protractor, and center head a high dollar. You did super well, a lot of money for just the gox alone, let alone the contents.
Thanks. I few micrometers need calibrated. I checked them with a calibration block from the bottom draw. My friend researched the guys name and he worked for a division of Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory. Who knows what these tools have helped make over the years. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watch.
Looks great. When I repaired the old 10 gauge, I told you about in video number one I had to do some repairs around the side plates. I actually filled in the cracks with acraglass. I added sawdust. The camouflaged it decent, but not perfect, and it was perfectly flush with the wood. I ended up using some stain and some color markers to blend it in before I finished it. I can’t see the repairs. I also soaked mine and boiled linseed oil probably a dozen times since the wood was old and it was dry, and I didn’t want it to crack with recoil. I then put probably a good eight or nine coats of Minwax antique finish over it. Good job bringing that old thing back to life. I love watching these videos.
Looking good, I do the same vinegar pvc pipe barrel soak. I ended up with the same gun and an 1873 Charles daily side-by-side 10 gauge in the late 90s early 2000s I bought a rummage sale for 90 bucks for the pair. I sold the Stevens like yours for 45 bucks five minutes later it was really rough in the stock was half missing along with the receiver, locking up super loose. The Charles daily I just restored finally three years ago….lol. I’ve shot a double bearded turkey with it since with black powder hand loads.
I just ordered a 12 - 42 mm step drill today.😂 Good job on the junction box! Thanks for the video
Thanks and thanks for watching. The problem is I have too many tools and I can't keep track of them. Lol
I watched a couple of videos on this. This one was by far the best. Some other guy was telling you to disconnect wires you don’t have to and to loosen the coolant tank. Neither of that is necessary. Great video, thanks for the help.
Great to hear. Thanks for watching.

What jets are you running looking to buy one for my 64 xlh
Sorry I dont remember. I do know I didn't change them. I took the carb. Out of the box and bolted it on. It is a Mikuni carburetor not a knockoff I bought it as a kit I don't remember from where thanks for watching and commenting
@@theundergroundesd no problem do you know the settings like what's all your mixture screws and idle screws set too if you don't mind me asking
I move the clip for the needle get up one notch after riding it for a while. The carb was ready to go right out of the box. Bolt it on, ride it, then tune it. You might want to download a Mikuni tuning manual.
Great video, however it's difficult to read the label on the original battery, what was the exact capacity and model number? Also I am assuming you have the 5.3L? Thanking you in advance.
I dont remember but I bought the replacement from the dealer. Believe it not most of the time the dealer has better deals and if they do the work you get a 3 year warranty. Obviously I did the work myself. Yes It is a 5.3L. Thanks for watching.
It's a start capacitor
Awww... a cliff hanger. Lol
Lol. this whole project has been a cliff hanger for me. Thanks for watching.
Hack O Rama how many scratches did you put in that bike,, thats probably oe of easiest jobs to do on a bike
You got that right brother. Ill do better next time. Thanks for watching
i have done this before and it works, and jsut have to be reminded of it.. BUT ! I did it to one, and didnt realize that i "zapped" and weekened a spot further down the cord.. and it melted/sparked.. soo.. this works, i done it to a few of them to salvage em.. but make sure ya check that the entire remaining cord is good.. lol. to be honest, it was my fault becuase i put a huge demand on it, and caused it to fry in the 1st place..lol
I checked the rest of the cord, and it looked ok. I hear you. I push the limits of stuff also. Thank you for watching.
Good work. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum last week 😎
