It's here! woooo. alright predictions: Shortest: Has to be X and Y I think. It is so insanely short that it might actually even be faster than Scarlet Violet, but maybe the dialogue in the trainstation + technically the rival fight, might make it like 20 seconds slower. Sun and Moon might also be runner ups here. longest: This is hard. Black and Black 2 both have a relatively short total way, but with the forced extra dialogue, ferris wheel (black 1) or rollercoaster (black 2) it might take long? I feel like sword and shield might actually have a decent chance here, just because the game is super slow in general. ruby, red, silver, pearl and so on will all be either relatively fast, or middle ground, but I don'T remember any of their ways being super long. I don't know if BDSP will come in and suddenly take hours though, since I did not play that, nor did I watch a let's play of it. So if they changed stuff there, I would not know. Now then, time to see if I got close on this. Edit: So the video is not entirely over yet, but maaan was I wrong. I forgot all about the entire team Aqua/Magma encounter in ruby/alpha sapphire, which in my defense, the last time I played the game was a year ago and I am still not done with the playthrough cause I decided to do shiny only and for my last hunt I decided it would be shiny Cubchoo, so the last 40 or more hours I spent with the game were in a cave before the final gym. Black and White 2, also games where I entirely overestimated the time, because I take way longer there normally. For X&Y, I guess I looked at it in a biased way, cause as you said you did fight some trainers. There is a way (with the little Skiddo ride option) to outright skip everything. Did also forget the lucario mega fight, so that is like 4 minutes I did not consider. Sun and moon, is insane. I only played the ultra version the last couple of years, so the "festival plaza" introduction (which feels like it take half an hour) is the only reason I thought they'd have to be runner up. But man, I did not think about base sun and moon not having that whole spiel and just being a run with 1 conversation inbetween. That is really crazy. Still can't believer ORAS is actually the longest. It makes sense, but those games feel so short for the most part that it just did not occur to me as a possibility (unless you are stupid and decide to do shiny only and need 6 members on your team, but your dumbass also chose Corsola as your water type, only to learn it can't learn dive for whatever reason. So you see that Beartic can, which does make sense at least and you hunt that thing for way too fing long. Still haven't finished that hunt.....). But yeah, even if I had remembered the team Magma/Aqua stuff there, I don't think I would've guessed it as the longest anyway. Now, since it is over. As always a great video. Getting to look through the history of Pokemon in these direct comparions between the segments of the game is always super nice and your commentary and own retroactive look on features like how good the bikes are in comparison to one another, just make these super entertaining every time. I actually have a middle ear infection right now (never had one in 21 years, but I guess it's almost everybodies turn someday), so this came at the perfect time to distract me from that a little bit. you don't actually have to do the 2nd gym in gen 3, I remember very distinctly as a kid skipping it and having to go back when I reached the league. If you're trying to do this as fast as possible you can skip it.

I like the touch of multi language commercials between each game, even ones the games were never released in like Norwegian, Polish and Russian. I'm surprised Sun and Moon was so short. It wasn't even two minutes! Also, as a Vulpix fan, it disappoints me to hear that you never considered giving it a chance... [If you choose my name for a nickname, just Hijiri or Mirachion would be okay. "Chi" is pronounced as "key".]

I am loving this series you are creating. I can't wait to see which game or set of games has the longest length between each gym in the end. I'm betting its going to be Diamond and Pearl considering they are the longest to beat in terms of the main story. Are you going to include the run from the final gym to the champion?

Honestly I was really disappointed with iono’s bellibolt for I was expecting it to be the new Whitney’s miltank but instead all it knows is water gun and spark with electromorphosis as it’s ability with no held item so when I got my shiny bellibolt I decided to give it a moveset that her bellibolt should’ve had to make it the new Whitney’s miltank the only thing I kept the same was it’s ability but I gave it an assault vest for even more durability, mud slap to mess with non flying/levitating Pokémon’s accuracy and not get walled by electric and or water immune abilities, replaced it’s water gun with water pulse for both better ground coverage and confusion, gave it charge beam to boost it’s special attack even more and parabolic charge for a second STAB option and recovery on non ground types

The third of three major reasons why x and y are too stupidly easy is you had access to mega evolution from gym 3 onwards and no one else has it except for three people in the main story Korrina’s mega lucario with just your lucario you fight Lysander’s mega gyrados and you don’t fight any more until the champion’s mega gardevoir

something i wish to inform you of is that you don’t have to fail the questions in the 7th gym to fight the trainers, you can just walk up to the trainers and interact with them to instantly start a battle
