Indeed, it's more difficult than you'd expect to find details of these times. Even just figuring out which Cup this was and which matches they were took loads of searching!

These kind of clips are so vital to the high school history learners. Is it expensive to organizations such as the SABC to keep such records?
I wish they'd digitise and release their archives. Tried to contact them many times during the 2000s and 2010s but never got a reply. So it looks like we're stuck with whatever small bits people like us can find on old VHS cassettes :(

Super interesting. I was only between the ages of 3/4 in 1997. So I was into everything but news at the time lol But It's quite fascinating to go back and see how much has changed and not changed.

I tried Pringles once - never again. Disposable nappies have resulted in one of the worst landfill problems in the world. In the "bad old days" we used washable nappies which were cleaned and sterilised and lasted the babies' infancy. Now there are tonnes of little plastic packets of baby shit all around the world in landfill. The plastic does not disintegrate and in 1000 years there will still be little bags of well preserved crap in old landfills.
I was in love with the Opel Kadett back in 97, couldn`t afford one then though, fast forward to 2001 and I bought a 1997 1800is and still to this day it remains the one car that I regret selling and would have another in an instant if there was one still around worth having!
I drove a 1975 , 1900 station wagon in the early 1980's . From 16 years of age till 18 years old .

Does anyone have an old M-NET TV guide? I'm posting this in the comments of a few channels, since I've been trying to get hold of one for the last 25 years without luck. I left South Africa in 1995, but have an overwhelmingly strong nostalgia for the monthly M-NET TV guides my parents bought. Sadly we never kept any, but I have fond memories of leafing through them. I would very much like to get hold of one again. From sometime when they first were published in the 1980s up until around 1995 or even 1996. Any issue published during this time frame. I recall one special issue, for the anniversary of M-NET, had a written article on the TV guide itself with a gallery of all the covers. I would especially like this issue, but any will do. If you have an old M-NET TV guide, please, please post a reply to my message here. It will be flagged on my TH-cam account and then when I log in every few days I can respond. I'm happy to pay for postage. I just really, really want an old M-NET TV guide. If you can't post it I would love to see photos and scans. Please, help me out.
