Had to check my own kit after watching the first few mins of your video! I bought it nearly two years ago but hadn't opened it as I've been messing with drones. My version is mostly built.. the servos and FC are already in place. I've subbed and I'll watch your assembly videos with interest. Cheers 👍
@@husky041 great thanks. You must have the RTH version 👍🏻
I ordered the 'PHP' with the INAV Controller as an extra, I'm adding a Dronetag BS RID module that has GPS out. They shipped the PHP from USA, three days later I had the PNP but the Controller, turns out it is coming from China. I ordered the RTH version, it will get here weeks before the controller does, when the controller does gets here I will send the PNP + Controller back. They should name the PNP as 'KIT PLUS' it is NOT PNP, I grow tired of people calling an apple an orange.
Yeah it’s definitely not PNP 👍🏻
Looks very similar to the power plant the Ukrainians have used on their new small homegrown cruise missile
@@michaelbutler1889 yeah agreed. I think they are using some sort of RC grade turbine.
So expensive,....
@@athosbulgari6571 good fun though 👍🏻
The sound alone is a reason to buy.
@@samre3006 agreed!! 👍🏻
Will this run on fairy liquid
@@stamfordmeetup yes if you mix it with enough kerosene 👍🏻
Finally, a proper nuisance neighbour A nuisance to the WHOLE neighbourhood
@@toi_techno 💪🏻
"jet fuel" it will run on pretty much anything flammable so yeah I guess that technically includes jet fuel 😂 which is just fancy kerosene anyway.
@@pjbth yes you can use diesel too 👍🏻
Newton meters is a measurement of torque, which is the rotational analogue of linear force, thrust is linear force, measured in newtons. For those that still use units predating the age of enlightenment, it can be even more confusing, as thrust is often measured in pounds of force, and torque is often measured in pound-foot, and when that affinity for obsolete base units is combined with the habit of abbreviating without completely understanding the concepts, and a multitude of conventions for how to abbreviate, plus the usual issue with different base units having the same name in that so called "system", and different definitions of the same units, confusion is kind of unavoidable.
@@fishyerik 👍🏻
I fly expensive helicopters with my rm tx16s. Never had a problem with it and it's one of rhe first ones so it's a couple of years old. But ok the frsky is also a great radio i think

You can actually see the fuels going down quite quickly when you throttle up! Bonkers. Engineering Marvell’s these engines are.

@ Thanks. Great video.
@ thank you 🙏🏻
pretty cool!
nice in 1979 I supported Wren turbines with the development of a free turbine powered helicopter I demonstrated it at Elvington . Mike murphy went on to develop the Wren 44 which was almost identical to this 45 . First flights indicated that the 54 mm turbine spinning at 111,000 rpm had far too much power from the 72mm free turbine. I had bought a full size ex falklands Westland Scout helicopter which had been swimming in a flooded quarry near to Nuneaton Warwickshire.. ..using stainless steel tubing supplied from Harald Zimmerman in Hille Germany I silver soldered an Alouette prototype test bed .2m rotor span .helicopter .My combustion chamber design was super efficient utilizing a torroidal combustion zone Burn .I still have my combustion chamber test rig which allowed me to fine tune the combustion .process. My Westland Scout helicopter gearbox revealed the gearbox lubrication special needs .effectively a dry sump incorporating spray lubrication using two stroke oil / air mist .. the same 2 stroke oil I used at 3% to lubricate the turbine ceramic 688 bearings .Too much oil resulted in the ceramic bearings skidding and self destructing . Memories mostly good some bad . Hopefully my Turbine Alouette went to a good home in the UK. an ey injury and a faulty 35mhz r/c transmitter ended my love affair with helicopter and R/C flight ..

The CG is not really accurate with the tail & elevator servos mid fuselage. How many batteries are you using?
@@longboardlouie5816 just one receiver pack 👍🏻
If someone had the funds…they could replace the rear turbo lights on Airwolf with these and make those boosters functional.

That’s incredible that they can build a Jet Engine that small. I would have thought that it would have more than 10Lbs of Thrust. Really nice little unit. I enjoyed the Video. Subscribed.👍👍
@@joeybobbie1 brilliant thanks for watching 👍🏻
Good grief ... what is sooo special with this engine ? Here in Germany we have - for many years - the Lambert Kolibri turbine. Significantly smaller and lighter. Simply check ! !
@@best_pilot1002 this one is on TH-cam 👍🏻
I saw £292 on the receipt and thought “that’s not too bad” and then I realised that is just the VAT 😂
Sadly yes 😂
I looked the price up and it was a shocker but a beautiful piece of engineering.
1763 GBP… shame these are so pricey. They say if you can’t afford crashing a model then it’s not for you so I will have to leave this in my “dreams” area :( Beautiful piece of engineering though…
@ hopefully one day it won’t be just a dream for you. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
