1st Royal Saxon Army Corps 102nd Infantry "King Ludwig III of Bavaria great coat. Website: www.captainjacksmilitaria.com/
Seems they would want it to flex so that on falling impact it wouldn't be too rigid. Seems like a really good fake.
Please tell us how you got the paint off the first helmet
Very carefully with acetone and cottenbuds Also carefully you can scrape the paint away with a small blade
Excellent luft helmets. Happy to buy them if you get bored😂
Thank you for your kind comment. Most of them are for sale and can be found on our Website www.captainjacksmilitaria.com/ or if not, by sending me an Email at taharnton@hotmail.com
A cracking collection, sir!
Thank you for your kind comment
My pleasure!@@Captain-Jacks-Militaria
Really nice collection
Thank you for your kind comment
That could be an old Checkslovika repo from years ago also notice not quite the proper dip in the front and thinner steel as you pointed out. I got stung on one about 1979 as a,young collector. They do look the part though and for display would be ok. You have some nice Luft related helmets!
I think you could be right, I have another Falschirmjager helmet with the same thinner steel issues. It is also listed in our Website as reproduction! The other Luft helmets are definately original.

Nice items and thank you for your honesty.
Thanks for watching!
Another fine video. Nice display and interesting descriptions and anecdotes. Looking forward to the next vid. CHEERS!
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome collection of helmets! Very interesting video. I learned quite a few new things.
Glad you enjoyed!
Nice helmets, keep the videos coming!
Thanks, will do!
👍👍👍!
👍👍👍!!
I just realised: Those liners are not original. The original M35 has 2 liner rings. One outer liner ring with provisions for 5 spring slots and an inner liner metal ring which has 5 springs and the leather for the head. The inner ring actually floats on the outer ring where the flat springs act as an shock absorber. I have not yet seen any reproduction to stick to the real original 2 liner spring assembly. This is not genuine.

Дякую. Дуже цікаве відео. До речі чудова колекція.
Wow amazing! In such beautiful condition! 😊
Great tips, worked great on my nice SE66 Luftwaffe M35 today as it was missing the liner - took a while to find an original one but looks great now :) always hard to get those split pins tight!
Cpt. Jack, where can I buy helmet liners and who sells them, I would really appreciate it if you could tell me.
Tolle Sammlung 🇩🇪✋🏻🤝🏻🇩🇪😉

Those belts and buckles are really nice, thank you for sharing 👍
Glad you like them!
Good start to the new video series. It is nice to see someone explaining in a relaxed manner about some of the items you have. Looking forward to Part 2 plus future vids. KEEP 'EM COMING!
Glad you enjoyed!
Very good, nice selection of militaria...the belts are really nice, look forward to more videos in future...all the best to you 😊😊
Thank you very much!
perfect, I want one 😍
I got a nice M18 with WWII refurb.
Real nice helmets there. Lugs or bolts also indicated the size 66 68 had the smaller lugs.
Excellent instruction video...........
I will realize that I know what I am doing when I do not leave a slosh of blood all over the liner! Easy to get slashed!
Very good shame there isnt more militaria videos on your channel 😊
Thank you for your support we will have some more.
Very good , just came across your channel, i will check your militaria site also 😊
Thank you for the video! It helped a lot.
Looks so easy. Every time I do it my fingers bleed like mad luckily I was using a repro liner and repro M42 helmet since there is a bit of blood on the sides of the liner, not to much but it looks like YOU don’t cut your fingers when putting them in one bit! 😂 👍🏻
A bar clamp works a lot easier .
Excellent video, thank you👍
Great informative videos my friend.
Hey Captain, your Luftwaffe model drive me crazy !! so nice !! take care of these Beauties !
I love your collection sir, very educational thanks.
grandpa what is this? i was an eletricist. but granpa, what is the other decal? go play your games.
Ah, the playful tinkle of the washer ,as it falls into the helmet for the tenth time! You really need three hands for this job.
Where can I get liners for my German helmets, thanks.
That’s a cool reissued
Amazing
Thank you, Sir, amazing video!
How do you find what size the helmet is?
All the shells had the size stamped in along with the initials of the factory/makers. There is also a way to make an educated guess, using a tape measure on the outside of the the shell, in the area of the two vent holes - measure the exterior circumference - to get an approximate size
Or else put a baseball cap in for rough estimate. (Use head size to help with guess)
@@MooreLeather then subtract 1 cm for the thickness of the helmet steel.
@@damnyankie51 ...subtract what?? To get the SHELL size, you MEASURE THE SHELL...
Great tip on the split pin installation. Thanks for sharing your experience.
