How many with ADHD watching this?
Before I became disabled I use to plan my work and then work my plan. If I didn't have something I needed to work my plan correctly I'd find a way to get it and complete my Plan. Now, I do What I can, When I can, with What I have. It was a MAJOR Mental Shift and very hard to accept. I can say this though, the times that I am well enough to get things done I enjoy doing them now more than I ever did before. A Journey of a Thousand Miles really does begin with just One Step. They say success is only 10% Inspiration and 90% Perspiration which I've found to be true in the past. This is OLD but time tested, "An Object in Motion tends to Stay in Motion and an Object at Rest Tends to Stay at Rest."
Thank you for sharing your story. It’s truly inspiring… It’s true that when something comes with difficulty, we start to value it deeply.
Thank you for creating a simple yet insightful video. ❤
Glad it was helpful!
can you share what software or tools you use to create these videos?
@@FunctionalAITools I draw by hand in Procreate app on iPad.
@@anxiousme-psychology Thank you so much. I love it, I was thinking of canva, but will try this as well. thanks
That's dangerous 😢
I really liked this video. Also the one about laziness. Will you be able to create one about 'getting things done' for people with ADHD? It would be very helpful. Because many of the things that work typically, fail for people with executive dysfunction. There's also a history of failure due to this, which also leads to episodes of depression and constant anxiety. Thanks
Thank you for the idea! You’re absolutely right-typical strategies often fall short for people with ADHD . We’ll work on creating a video tailored to this topic.
@@anxiousme-psychology I am glad you agree, thanks again! Looking forward to it when you it's ready!
This isn't steps, just a description of avoidant attachment
awesome!! I'm curious what tool you use to draw this picture. Could you please let me know? 😍
@@OODASMR Thank you)) Just procreate in ipad.
Help i am a dismissive avoident attachment,,plsss help me ple help me
I'm 39 and married 18 years. Have had marriage struggles forever!!! Just told by my therapist I have this as well. Finding out is great because now we can work on it!
it's so real that I aim for perfectionism, even when I try something for the first time, only realized now how much this impact your life negatively, Hope this lesson can stay with me for a while
Perfection will come with TIME, Action is the Key. Failures are feedback to both shorten and straighten the Road to Perfection in your Successes. It's very true that most "Overnight" successes took about 20 years!!! rofl I grew up being told constantly that if I'm not failing at least 10x a day I'm NOT trying hard enough. 😂😎 BTW, I was an Independent Professional Golfer many moons ago and I was "Lucky" to hit One or Two shots exactly the way I wanted to in a round. I asked the other Pro's about this and they said it was the same for them. So out of 62 to 80 shots each day only 1 or 2 were the way we wanted them to be. This was at the Professional Level.
I've needed this video. I always struggle to get things done and find it really difficult to get started on things. This is so helpful. Thank you for this.
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Pretty much never. I live to serve. I can do absolutely nothing, for days on end (unless something needs to get done of course). But if someone needs something, asks for my company, needs assistance or a helping hand, Im there. Pretty much every time. I dont feel i have any real needs, no itches that need scratching.
Thank you for your response! It sounds like you’re incredibly dedicated to helping others, and that’s truly admirable. But sometimes it’s important to remember that taking care of yourself isn’t selfish-it’s necessary.😊
Thank you, it makes sense now.
100% Agree, it makes sooo much more sense, and will help me on the road to being more understanding and supportive to those I love.

When was the last time you had to disappoint someone and you felt better? Share your thoughts below! 💬
it's still laziness
"you're not lazy ,you're human"...THANKS
Thank you so much for the words, I really need it <3 I've subbed your channel, Hope to get more videos like this
“What do you think about laziness? Is it just an illusion or something more? Let’s talk about it!”😊
I'm not sure if it exists. Why would we avoid things that are good for us? Let's say someone hates their job and avoids it as much as possible. Is that person lazy or is it just that they should find a different job that would give them meaning and make them happy?
@ Thank you for the question! I think if motivation doesn’t come for a long time, it might mean the job isn’t the right fit. Sometimes changing paths can help you find something more fulfilling-and it’s never too late to try something new.
