it would be my guess that once the trailer is loaded up with weight, the frame would twist, causing the camber to be out.

The last part goes over all this I believe. But the trailer weights 2000 pounds, and probably shouldn't carry more than 4000 pounds, because the airbags aren't in the best orientation.

Just a casual comment, on the areas by the axles to drop in the frame, I'm no professional fabricator but man, I'd be welding on fishplate reinforcement inside and outside of that frame, even with the big plates? Or I'd be cutting some slots and welding the center of the plate. Also coating the areas between plate and frame with some sort of weld thru primer for a bit of corrosion protection. My car trailer is a tilt deck, I only wish mine was able to drop like that design!!

Could you not simply make a form to concrete in the table, and then build a Schluter Kerdi board system around the rest of the tray (kerdi is a waterproof shower system) Thanks in advance

Since you’ve ran big machines before I don’t think this machine is for you. You should probably look at getting a tormach or something in that range. This machine is super hobbyist level and lacks a lot of features that makes its reliable and repeatable and easy to setup if you’re really pushing the machine. The lack of ATC makes machining take a long time… The last down side is the lack of Z height. Can’t really do very tall parts.

Also, do you think you will find yourself dispising this machine if you are running jobs that requier a lot of tool changes? I feel like the lack of a quick change chuck might be a painful experience (Granted at thhis price point and size envelope, the manf. probably didn't have the luxury to include that).

I know it’s been a while since you posted this video, but I didn’t see any other comments on the spare wheel bracket, nor any more updates since this one. I’ve had several car trailers, all home built. They have all been unsprung, but that suits my needs. We had the same 2 issues as you with the most recent trailer (12 years old now). It kept cracking the spare wheel holders, and the deck kept breaking the fasteners. I cured both problems. The deck was spot-bonded using urethane adhesive, and fasteners secured after it cured. This was more to fill the old holes and prevent water getting into the frame rails, and also as a mechanical backup, should the adhesive fail. No fasteners have broken since, and the deck is nice and quiet (it used to rattle). The weight of the spare, as well as the bumps and oscillations work-harden the brackets until they break. We spent years adding reinforcements to those pedestals, bracing adding more bracing, welding cracks etc, and then I used an early FEA program at work. It highlighted how much dynamic stress that 20kg spare wheel was putting on the flimsy pedestal. It was always going to fail unless the metal used was much more substantial. My solution? I made 2 substantial J shaped hooks that I welded to the frame, each on an angle, that the spare sits into. They are roughly at 7 and 5 if you look at the spare like a clock. The plate you bolt to now only has to secure the spare, not hold the weight. Oh, I recently upgraded those plates too (we run 2 spares). Instead of the plate with studs, I used 2 wheel hubs, so now I have 2 spare hubs on board, with bearings, ready to go. I maintain the trailer well, and do an annual service on the wheel bearings & brakes, so I haven’t needed to use them, but it’s good insurance.

I also wired the relay of the compressor to it. I don’t always have the tanks filled so the manifold would also be able to turn on the compressor. This setup has been working well so far. There is a warning on the app tho. Something about “compressor freezing up”? I think the manifold just expects the compressor to build pressure faster. I just ignore it. Maybe I’ll find a way to resolve the warning later

Already have bags completely installed but swapping out compressor since the one installed crapped out so being that im already there ill add a tank and add the horns. So swapping compressor and adding tank and horns other than a switch for horns and making tank to handle both bags and horn what else would you suggest....thank you

Maybe consider running quick disconnect hose to both ends of the truck so you can fill tires or something. I’ve also noticed that I don’t usually have my tank full so the train horns aren’t always ready to use. I’m considering putting in the stock compressors that came with the train horn. Just so the horn has its on source of air on demand

Can you share your files for the mount for the monitor that you cut?
