Three Privacy Film Options for Window Glass
Trying to find the perfect privacy window film solution? This video covers all basic options of privacy tint we have to choose from. We discuss frosted film, smart film or switchable film, and one way mirror film. We don't discuss other films such as perforated film, because that type of film is rarely preferred as a privacy film solution due to its appearance.
Your three basic options:
Frost - Can't see in or out. It comes in many variations but the matte frost is our favorite.
Smart Film - This is frost that you can switch on and off. The downside is it is quite expensive.
One Way Privacy Film - This is for daytime privacy. Doesn't work as effectively at night. However, one way privacy film with blinds offers the perfect solution - blinds up in the morning for a view, blinds down after dark.

The annoying background "music" not needed. It was especially inappropriate while the narrator was speaking!
💖😄
Thanks for showing the various levels of protection! For the attachment system: Was this 1/2" window depth of attachment? Our residential windows only have a depth of around 1/4".
My rich friend has this windows
Just like in canary black
So whats the difference between "1 Layer 30 seconds" and "1 Layer Attached 42 seconds" ??? Isn't that the same number of layers??? What am I missing ??
Is it legal to put this on my Laverne plate?
Looks like some copyright stuff used to make this...
what if you don't have adog
3:57 😂😊
I am in Boise Idaho. Anyone you know who can install out here?
Two blows with a crow bar and you can stick a hand in and open the door. But it's better than nothing.
Try a sawzall or angle grinder.
What did you guys mean when you said "...with attachment" when describing each scenario after the first two or so? i.e. "One Layer of 7 mil Security film w/ Attachment" at 2:49
I think (not 100% sure) that the attachment means that they overlap the security film onto the window frame. Most times it is only done on the glass which is not as strong if you allow some to be attached to the window frame.
@@Mickeyj26 Wow, really? I was just browsing because these films seemed like a really good idea but I never came across that info, makes a ton of sense though! Thank you!
Dumb just one hole stick ur arm in and unlock the door
Is this available in India?
How can I contact you?
Better than nothing. Its cheap and easy to retrofit. Clearly targeted for residential buyers. Commercial buyers should be using vastly superior products like school guard glass.
I’ve been looking for more night time that you cannot look in but need to see during the day .
Kudos for trying to make window glass fun LoL! But honestly, you can do without all the random clips that are edited into the video - and probably save on licensing costs (or avoid future copyright strikes, if you have *not* properly licensed these clips and get caught). This chick is VERY entertaining all by herself... she is more than enough to keep our interest. Also consider turning down the music, so you're not drowning her out.
This is a great video thanks I literally said almost every catch line on or before they played hilarious.. Thank you I will check out the link I do need privacy .
"Now they need to work at it"😎😂😂😂😂
thanks for the tip
A person on a mission to break in wont dance while he halfass hits the glass until he manages to remove all of it from the frame.
would that be part of the warranty?
He probably could have gotten in at the 15 second mark lets be honest
He was having entirely too much fun :)
Stupid af video.
What does 'Attachment" mean?
those are some weak ass crowbar swings, do you even want to break through the window or just waste time?
There not going to keep hitting it like that too much noise there going to take the same crow bar and pull the window out if they want inside your house they will get in might as well put bars!
SunTek ULVDS 70 ?
They just need to get to the handle so a small break in seal is all that is needed. An alarm works better.
I had to stop watching at This is way too hard to watch, none of the other extra is not necessary, I stop watching at 1.23
So basically barely any extra protection. 30 seconds isn't going to deter anyone when there is no one else around.
The crowbar part sells me on this cuz it’s so loud.
I feel like once they have a hole big enough they are just going to reach through and open the door from the inside handle.
With a ranch slider, you should always have a length of wood in the frame channel that prevents it from opening, even when unlocked.
Yea, and if you have a double-sided glass door (you can slide open either side of the two doors), i disable one door i dont use by lowering the door's rollers on the tracks so low that its impossible to slide open. I do this for the side that has the track exposed to the exterior. @@SD78
Man i love your clip
This deserves millions of views
I am interested
Late to the comments, but they wouldn't beat the crap out of the glass until they can walk in, they would use the rock and then reach in and disable your lock mechanism.
True. I think they just wanted to demonstrate and measure the strength under different conditions
Hi boss, what does the w/ attachments mean?
A previous post stated: "(@unherdac) - *Attachment* means that you're using a caulk type silicone sealant to run a bead around the edges of the film to "attach" the film to the frame of the window or door. This will bolster it's strength considerably.
thank you@@quallzone6219
Merry Christmas @@quallzone6219
There is no reason for a thief to take out all of the glass. In most cases, all they have to do is punch a hole, near the lock, and, simply unlock the door.
Is the first level just a daylight install with no attachment?
How big is the sheet? How about cost per sq ft?
Where to go for business inquiries?
Yea but hows 2 my kane corsos supposed to get outside to rip every last ounce of flesh off the idiot that just broke my door
Good show! IF they are trying the patio door force, this will buy essential time to prepare. If they are smarter, they may try the window 5' away. Good reason to secure all accessible windows.
For comparison, laminated glass used in basic hurricane impact windows uses, as a minimum, a 90 mil (.090") layer of a tear resistant vinyl sheet bonded by heat and pressure between two layers of glass. Impact glass is designed to stop a 9# 2x4 hitting the glass at 50 feet per second.
@1:35 you can see instead the house of the one way film
