I am trying to reconnect to my Maori roots. Nana on dads side was full blood Maori, Koro on mums side was full blood. But my parents didn't let us connect with our culture because they had a lot of fear of spirits. Now that I am older, I long to reconnect. Thank you for sharing these.

Apologies im samoan but why is it when they karanga you on. Actually this is with all of the ladies they sound like theyre falling off a cliff when they karanaga?? From a loud 10 to a 1 on mute. Is there any significance for it? Like i know maybe they just need to breathe but besides that. Thank you look forward to a reply

kia ora e te Rangatira. first of all ngaa mihi for your help with these useful tauparapara. very greatfull. i have a paatai regaurding the tauparapara that is used around the 3 minute 58 mark and down the list it says "Te kura i Monoa" now i am asking with respect am i able to change that line and add in my own line that fits the kaupapa that will be at hand on the day that i am delivering my whaikorero. which is for a waananga thats all about whaikorero me karanga..... nui te aroha
