Silly question, but why didn't you simply add a removable hitch to the bucket? If you are staying on your property, wouldn't this be an easier and cheaper solution?

As long as you have the pin out, weld a protection ring around the zerk fitting. A short 1/2" piece of pipe works great. Tack on four sides. Short filet welds until secure. Removal and re-installation of the zerk is done with a socket. The protection ring Will collect dirt, but it's easy to clean before lubing. If you're a nut like me, you can weld pipe nipples, and screw on a cap. One nipple cut in half makes two rings. That keeps the zerk clean, and the cap comes off with a wrench.

Nice upgrade! For future reference, you should only need about two complete wraps of teflon tape on a tapered thread for it to seal up. too much rape can get squeezed into the pipe where it can break off and damage components.

One modification I found extremely useful is to get some 22x11-10 high load 4ply atv tires with 10x10 on 4on4 pattern rims... The added width of the tire tread helps to prevent getting stuck while walking it in muddy or soft soilsand the extra inch of clearance aids in walking over stumps/logs/rocks

Incredibly produced video with excellent voice over. You A-Holes that laughed at her about the compressed O-Rings are, simply, losers. You couldn't produce a video with this type of quality if your life depended on it. Heck, you couldn't do it if your family's life depended on it. She is 10 times the person than you'll ever be!

Or ditch the Teflon tape all together and use the pipe dope or lock tight red thread sealer instead of that tape shit

Great video! Thank you! I can't find dimensions for the assembled machine! I need to know them so I know what size shed to buy to store the trencher in! I was looking at 10 x 10 sheds but my wife doesn't think that will be big enough? Would you be able to help us with this? Length, width and height would be helpful. I imagine the boom could be "folded" to save room? We would really appreciate your help! Don't want to leave a brand new machine out in the weather! Thank you!

NEVER , EVER USE TEFLON TAPE with hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic fluid breaks down Teflon tape and the small pieces go into inside stopping up things causing skips , etc... ALWAYS USE HYDRAULIC SEALANT ! LOCTITE makes a good SEALER , not thread lock !
