I love self sufficiently. You ladies nailed it. Our old farm house got a heritage for main heat and a Tucson for back up 20 years ago. Good choice. You will get many years of fine heat as long as you keep that ceramic baffle nice and hot. We send nine chords a year through ours due to poor insulation. It would really work nice in an insulated space. I could not resist watching with a title like that and you did not disappoint. Thanks for showing the world what self sufficient teamwork looks like.

    Excellent video!
Too many people believe they can't do something when really it is just they don't know how.
Everyone learns by doing things. Don't know how to use a floor jack?
Ask around and someone will have one and be happy to show how to use it.
We are very fortunate to have TH-cam to learn how to do just about anything.
This video shows how something that may seem impossible to do yourself can be done by just about anyone with just a few handy tools and thinking about how it could be done.

"Nothing like a Hearthstone" You can say THAT again! Total creosote makers! (Along with Jotul, Quadrafire, Vermont Castings, and many more!)

Excellent use of that floor jack, patience and (most importantly) brain power!

Yep it was fun. I used an engine hoist to put it down gently and precisely where I wanted it. Not everyone owns a hoist, but they can be rented.

That would definitely be a good tool for the job 👍

I just got a 700lb Woodstock Soapstone Ideal woodstove. It's 150 feet from house, no tractor, no 4x4. I'm alone. I can't use a come along, as nothing to attach to on the other end. I could put plywood on ground. But just had my lumbar back nerves ablated. I'm not able to shove, pull that much. I used a dual piano dolly to move a Hearthstone Mansfield, when I was 30 yrs old. But I was in much less pain then. But I can't find a place, even 3 hrs away, to rent a dual piano dolly. But I remember it rolling that Mansfield so easily.
So, I am asking neighbors for help. I might have found my neighboring propane company willing to help with their gigantic Case loader.

And so many women say, "I can't." All it takes is using your head. I have moved 4000 lb equipment with a similar technique. WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER! Bravo to you ladies!

lol this is the kind of thing I envision myself doing on my property once I move in. I identified difficulty getting stuff in/out of my house due to steps and stuff as a personal sore point...

I wish you'd have shown some detail of how you made the connection inside the wall between the flex pipe and the horizontal pipe thru the wall. That's the part that is baffling me at this point.

I had that stove, but did not like it, because of the great and ash clean out...

I think maybe it would have been safer to have hired professional movers to move the stove into place.
