Wrecking some firewood IBC's in a storm with the Kioti.

I had a dead battery in the tractor this afternoon, so I had to jump it, and then move some firewood IBC's into the drying area. I got caught in a storm while moving them, and I think I trashed the base of another IBC. I've done that a few times now.

My little buddy Zane got some seat time in today, and then the RX moved his Dad's camper. That is a heavy camper, that's got 3 slide-outs and triple 7K axles under it.

These are the kids of our friends. They came up and spent a week with us two weeks ago. Both boys did some rotary cutting on our property, making some new trails for us. Both boys are well experienced in running equipment already. They both operate skid steers, and Wyatt, the older (11 year old) also drives large tractors and combines. We just wanted to take a tree that blew down in a storm a year or two ago and process it into some firepit firewood. It's just conifer, but that's perfect for the outdoor firepit.

I finally got around to putting up the trail cams this year. We had friends staying with us for the last week, and the kids were riding their dirt bikes and side by sides on the same trails that the cams were up on, so I'm guessing a lot of our normal game was scared away for the time being. We usually see skunks, porcupine, coyotes, and bears. But just some deer and a raccoon this week.

Our friend's kids were just doing some riding on their dirt bikes on our trails, and they wanted to make a video, so we just put a short one together so that they could see it.

I've been cutting more trails for the last two days, and here's the progress. We've got 40 acres, and about 25 of those are wooded. So, we started cutting trails through the woods last year. For our property, which was logged by the previous owners about 10 years ago, and has tree stumps all over the place, the most useful tools for making trails have been the Stihl FS 131 with the string trimm...

This was supposed to be a comparison video between the Stihl 500 and the 462. I ran out of daylight for the comparison, so I'll have to do that in the next video. This one is pretty much just using the 500, and showing how well the tractor/grapple, and bucking table work for my application. I think it really works well for us.

I FINALLY got around to making my firewood bucking table more user-friendly. I've got so many chores to do around our property, that this project took a backseat for far too long. Well, I finally got it done today. Stay tuned to see it and how it turned out.

My neighbor's driveway had some pretty bad potholes, so I figured I'd give him a hand in trying to grade the them out. You'll see, I'm FAR from an expert, and have only used the box blade a handful of times so far, so my skills are a work in progress. But I think the end result is that his driveway isn't perfect, but it's a lot better than when we started.
