Up to 30% is very misleading. Many sections still only 10% off. Was a better deal when they regularly sent out 20% off everything coupons .. including food. Don't be fooled by "up to" language...

So sad to see malls becoming a thing of the past, I just about lived in the mall near me, sadly that one is dead too, the only thing keeping it alive are a Target and Macy's as anchor stores. There is a huge one about 40mins away that's always busy but the stores ate mostly high end so I only go every once in awhile. Thanks for Sharing! 😎

I live here I used to hang out in the record store and game room and Cruse around the parking lot it was a fun place till the old people chased all the young people away that's when it ended I wish they would rebuild it

Proffitt's was bought out by Belk in 2005 I believe and they just closed them all soon after. I preferred Proffitt's over Belk.

I Remember this Mall BEST DAYS. A SHAME TO SEE IT ABANDONED. THERE WAS A ROSES DEPT STORE THERE AT ONE TIME. A DOLLAR Tree and A Chick-fil-A too in the food court

Many Malls charge way too much for rent for most stores to make enough money to stay in business.

As kid I always go to big lots cause they got some Disney cars diecast and playset I never saw at target and Walmart some chase ones and haulers too and they use to sell video games

I was stationed there for 6 years ('80-86) but lived off base the entire time. It was a very nice base back then. I was a crew chief on the Wild Weasels in red section. A friend of ours did have a miscarriage while there tho. Thanks for the tour.

I used to work and run one of the store down here in the south. It has went downhill they wanted to be a department store and not a close out that why the prices was higher, I was so happy after 18 years working there to leave. High management don't care about their workers. We was a family there at my store after 18 years. Wish them luck and people want closeout prices Biglots will never be Walmart lol

Its sad to see that malls are becoming a thing of the past. There is a mall about 40mins away from me that's usually very busy but tur stores ate expensive and then there's another 5 mins away and that one is always dead.

I remember that video and it was empty, it makes me feel bad that malls are dying! We are all guilty for buying too much online!

As a Big Lots reward member, I just got an e-mail that said they will no longer accept Big Lots gift cards after January 16th. Maybe that is the only reason people are buying things at a low discount!

As soon as you guys walk in It smells LMAO!!!!!........Poor mall it's pretty much dead now. I grew up over the hill from that mall used to go too it many times it was always so crowded back then.

I'm an employee over in East Tennessee (not telling specific store because any "bad" publicity my comment could be taken as could knock me out of my severance), and something I want to point out is that they're not "saving" Big Lots by buying 200-400 stores. They're buying the name, the history, and the leases. All employees, if they want to stay, will have to reapply for their jobs. I've heard several dates...my store has been told that Feb 17th will be our last day of operation, but that could change. And most of the stores they're gonna "save" will be in the south. There is no list as of yet, but I imagine it'll depend on how close they are to a Rose's.

Hopefully they at least let the fans have a part of it

Thanks for the update. I wonder when they’ll make the official announcement on which stores will survive. I wouldn’t be surprised if they would need to wait until after all the stores close-so they can continue with their liquidation sales without the public knowing they aren’t actually closing.

my kids miss kmart we had a big kmart in internatal falls 😢

RIP big lots. Too little too late. All stores here are already gone. Even if the new ownership takes over the remaining stores, it will never be the same.
