Video of a prototype I made over a year ago for what I thought a PS1-style Plok game could be like. Very buggy and barebones since it was made over a weekend. I was expecting this to just be some analog horror slop but instead, it's just a really neat fan made mock up. It's like an alternate universe version of Mario 1. Pretty neat stuff. Hopefully more of this are made.

Big improvement between the prototype and the final product Little things make a big difference! (We saw that again when Doki Doki Panic was refined to form Super Mario Bros. 2)

Mario's jump sound effects have their duty cycles switched.
I like some of the visuals better here than in the final game.

Explain why the NES is displaying more individual colors than it can. If you're gonna make a mock up meant to be plausible, at least try.
