Good stuff 💥💥👍💯
question…so bending the lever is no option? Only cutting springs?
You have to use a warlbro gauge tool to check the metre lever rod high, as shown in the video only( if the lever not in spec, you have to bend the lever), to adjust the pop off to the carby, which Taylor spec are 16 to 18 psi. If it is higher, psi, you have to cut the spring to get 16 to 18 psi. Remember, cut one coil at one time and check the pop off to get that spec
@ ❤️
@ 🙏
Show the gears when running 👍
I will do that, plus I will show the mph, which will be about 65mph
I used another version of the 71 carb from a saw and had to drill a hole through the carb body itself to get pulse seems really responsive , although haven’t given it to it yet only on 3 rd tank 45 cc twin ring
It's ready for full throttle if you are on a 3 tank
@ yea I been having starting issues from using a drill And it’s been on hold I have a pullstart now so might be able to keep the flywheel nut on , if remember I was just starting the 3 rd tank so yea I’ll stretch the legs and let her cool fully
Put a bigger gear on like say 22 .. good run though 👍
It was running a 23 pinion, which i normally runs a 24 pinion. But after I saw it run at the beginning of the video, it's needs 26 on the pinion.
@@robertblunden7160 the top end doesn't look like a 23. But ok 👍
We are talking about the pinion gear ratio
Just put out a new video to explain about the motor
Pulls damn good for a 45cc
45 goes hard . It started out well until I had a slip on the clutch shoe holder, and it blew the crank case seal out. At the time, using 23 pinion ratio and it can pull 26 teeth on the pinion quest easy.
Very cool! I have a 30cc Baja. I love the big gas rc cars !
👍
Wow, I’ve seen a lot of big bore engines, but this one you got running good
She is running well, as before I had a carby issue which turned out to be the metre rod was too high on the carby (28mm)
What's that engine run at temperature wise? I remember my rovan 45 got really hot after about 10 minutes hard bashing.
Good question. The temp seems to be ok because if it was hot, it would have that 4 stroke sound from the pipe. That problem that 45 had with getting hot was cause by the wrong pipe that rovan made for the 45. So pipe iam using is the right size or bigger stops the over heating problem. Next time I run it, I will bring the temp gun and let you know.
Glad I found your channel hoping to see more 5th scale
Every week, I uploaded 1/5 scale👍
Hey were did you purchase that side pipe u have on your 71 cc Baja
No clue what's going on with Woody and Buzz's car but I only clicked for 'slippy on shaft'
That Rovan 45 rips pretty good! What kind of pipe you using?? I know the rovan 45 the exhaust port is bigger than normal. Also is your rovan 45 ported? Awesome bash!
Runs an Olimate 45 exhaust. The 45 rip rips well , I have more tuning on the clutch to do as I'm putting in a 9500 rpm spring in the next days. As you see from the start, the clutch is working well, and then the clutch is starting to show that it needs more work in the spring department. Yes, it ported!!
@@robertblunden7160 Very nice job on the porting! I bought the bartolone/rovan(brovan) casereed 45 ! It runs well! Keep up the great work! I might have to try 9500 spring my self or 10k spring.
Thanks. You have to do a video of your reed 45. Because I never seen a reed case 45 go👍
👌🏽🤙🏽
👍
Is that an rpg? 😮 or your fuel tank? Some people have all the best hobbies...... I collect sea shells😂 ❤your enginuity.
Chique baja 🏎 🔥 💥 💨 😍😎👍🏻💪🏻
👍
I still have some clutch shoe tuning to do. I two clutch springs coming, 9 1/2 and a 10,000 rpm spring coming this week.
What springs ? You have the 8k's in there ? Nice rip. 👊
yes, it's 8000 rpm spring, putting in a 9500 spring in it the next two days, and going up on the pinion gear ratio.
What gearing ?
23 on the pinion, I am putting on the 24 back on. It will run 25 on the pinion. As you see, at the beginning, the clutch was good, so I am up grading the clutch spring today with 9500 rpm spring
Interesting build
Yes, it is an interesting build because it is a cheaper way to have a hybrid. We work out better to buy the rovan parts and Taylor parts. The rovan Lt complete is $1400 here. But you throw out the motor and rear end and put Taylor parts. So it is $560 rovan parts, needs $800 for the Taylor parts, and put your choice of motor and gearbox.
👍
Problem fix using a Taylor clutch shoe holder
Don't think I've had that clutch shoe holder slip like that, but I have had the spark plug cap come loose on the rovan 45 .
I used to cop this on on rovan 71cc all the time, and now 45cc done the same. When they slip on the shaft, the rest of the clutch wear quite rabbit. I pull apart it apart, and you can see where it was slipping
nice😀
Great looking RC and video I've been waiting for someone to upgrade the rovan hybrid and make a video 💪💯⛽⛽⛽
What kind of pipe is that? Since never seen alx make that pipe
Looks like a Taylor rc pipe. I run one on my Taylor 50GT
Would’ve been good to line up the 45 today with the mods you did I think it’s close
Apart from the easy pull starter spring, let go. What you said about Rovan 45cc being a good lineup against your ALX 50, it might give ALX50 a run for your 💰 😇💥💥💥💥💥💥💯
Put some quality parts where needed. Rovans good for the price . Nicely done.
Me and my mate Kyle, we work out it cheaper to buy the rovan hybrid parts what's needed and only is $560 Aus dollars parts and $800 Taylor parts that's not including engine and gearbox, which works out alot cheaper. Because to buy the Rovan hybrid is $1400 Australia. And you throw out the 36 engine and the rear end not needed. What I found is that the hybrid is more stable than the baja and is .easy to work on
@robertblunden7160 probably gonna be my next rig. But still thinking about it
Put your 71 in it
@robertblunden7160 yeah I'm going to mothball the Vekta and build something else around the 71
Hybrid
Beautiful I need to see that alx 50 in action 🎬 ✅️
It goes good and it's more stable than a baja
@robertblunden7160 yes I agree 👍🏼
wow Robert that looks mint mate!
Thanks, work well.👍
It's very easy to start. You put the choke on, do 3 slow pull start, and two normal pulls that should start on choke, switch choke off, and start. My battery I use is a 5000mah and I run 75kg steering servo and a 25kg throttle servo, that's all you need. For my remote control i use flysky pro, which gives 300 metres range
Make sure you put the Taylor intake on the right way up .
@@robertblunden7160 Vale entendido, muchas gracias por ayudarme un saludo!
@@robertblunden7160 Lo tendré en cuenta muchas gracias por todo.
Is it custom or did u buy it?
I built it to the way I wanted it.
Nice rig!
Thanks 👍
The 50gt runs 🏃♀️ good in the baja platform 👍🏼✔️🏁
Clad it working out for you👍
@robertblunden7160 sorry you misunderstood I was referring to your video I'm having throttle linkage problems with mine and it's a 46 . The 50gt is in my other vehicle.
Running like a champ Robert, but you may want to have a chat with your videographer or better yet your editor, lol.
Mate of my is going to fix it on Friday . That's what happens when I pass the phone to my mate and camera stay in that mode
I need this
is this what they call an ice crawler😂😂
Nice driving , she's fast , my guess would be mid 60's 💥⚙️👍💪🤘
Thanks, your guess was right at 65.2 mph 👍👌
That is on point mate awesome 👌 love it
The best part of this hobby is controlling an out of control baja into control and puts a smile on my face, metal to the pedal 💯💥👍
To now mate you’ve got a nice collection there very nice cars. Keep your videos coming mate. You give handy ideas of doing things on these Baja hope you’re going well 👍🏻🇦🇺
Thanks MATIE, there alot of effort showing the fine results or all hard work going into this hobby and time. But I am here on utube showing what works and what does not work and helps other people with this hobby. From Rovan to Taylor! 💯👍
Hi can do any engine porting on my rovan 45cc were you located
I’m located in Sunbury, Victoria
I am in Sydney. I am doing a video this weekend running the 45 as I have done more port work. Should be a screamer, and if you like how it runs , we talk about porting your engine.
No worries mate. It’ll be good to see. Hope you have a good one. 👍🏻🇦🇺
I bet it runs good 👍
She does mate, up loading two videos soon !!!!!!!!!
@robertblunden7160 awesome bro 😎 I love ,RC and two strokes
The first video will explain the runs I did today
that pipe looks like a python that ate a deer!
Yep👍
Sounds rad brother
It's a sleeper until it hits full throttle 😊
Nice. 👍🏾☺️
Taking her from wild to really freakin' wild i see, lol. Cool plan Robert
She ready for Saturday run👍👌
Very impressive. I think we all want one. 🫶
theres nothing rovan about this baja but sick build "nice"
There rovan parts on this baja.I think I know what you are saying, yes I rovan 45 videos and rovan 71 videos which there are alot coming. I try to cover all baja's only. Thanks
Taylor rc engine is amazing! Great video. i can only imagine once you lean her out more!
I just converted the 50gt to 71cc motor. Yes, they are nice engines.
@robertblunden7160 lol, now that's crazy! People put those motors on gopeds and take people at unimaginable speeds, almost 100% of people sell becuase its too fast once they install. I can only imagine a 50lbs truck! Keep on racing. Post more videos if you can!
will do👍
Never enough power, is it. haha👍💪
That's true, I worked out the problem with the Taylor 71 and was the bell carrier broken, which was flexing and slipping on top end power
She's going to rip!
For sure!!!!💪💪💪💪💥💯
You have some very sweet setups Robert
Thanks, this one is going interesting. Question, what happen to KGM ( Kyle)
@@robertblunden7160 Hey Robert, Kyle must have decided to take a little time off from youtube. He was out at my place early this year but i have not heard from him in awhile.
We’re can I buy a pipe like that for a71cc engine
Tune is off, need thicker diff fluid , she’s all over the shop
Runs a Taylor Hex locker, that's why it's all over the place. Depends on the grass for even traction.
@ it should be going straight if it has a locker, check your pins inside the diff ,they maybe broken
I know the tune is way off, and I am missing some top power. I have to check the air gap on the coil and plug gap. Before when it was in rich mode because the metre rod was not right, and when I ran low on fuel, which cause to run a lean on the mixture, it was like a rocket . So i know how quick it can run. At the moment, I have a clutch bolt come lose, hitting the clutch bell, which you can hear it.
@@robertblunden7160 you’ll get over it soon enough, 5 mins of bashing, hours of fixing
Comes down to the surface I am running on. If the surface part grass and the other dirt, that's where the problem is. On a hex locker, use the hex to lock so you don't have a pin problem
