Low-Grade Inflammation Can Disrupt Hormones & Interfere With Embryo Implantation with Kellie Lupsha
We’re digging into how to reduce inflammation to get pregnant.
I've been recording the Get Pregnant Naturally podcast for over 6 1/2 years. Everything we talk about on the podcast is designed to reduce inflammation in the body and improve pregnancy success.
This episode gives us the foundational steps you can take right now to reduce inflammation that can disrupt hormones and interfere with ovulation and implantation.
Today, I’m welcoming Kellie Lupsha to the podcast. Kellie has almost 30 years of experience in the healthcare and wellness field, first as a physical therapist, then as a longevity expert and high-performance health coach, and a lifetime of personal practice in the wellness space.
In this episode, you'll learn:
1) The difference between acute and chronic inflammation and why this matters for fertility
2) Steps to take right now to reduce inflammation and get pregnant
3) Supplements to reduce inflammation and the top tip to help your body heal and fight inflammation

I just put together a new guide, “Reconnecting With Your Fertility: Preparing Your Body With Diet” that I'm going to give you pro bono (aka, free 😂)
If you want it, email hello@fabfertile.ca with "10 DAY".
It includes:
✅ Step-by-step 10-day plan to determine if you have a food sensitivity (a theme we see with low AMH and/or High FSH is food sensitivity)
✅ The final word on caffeine, alcohol and sugar and what you need to know as you prepare for pregnancy success
✅ What to expect when you begin to reintroduce the foods back into your diet (this is the most critical step, and so many people get this part wrong)
✅ Why a generalized approach to diet wastes time and how to fast-track pregnancy success with this proven 10-day plan
And a lot more.
Now, you may be asking...
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
1) If you like it, you'll prob buy my stuff later on
2) I really like helping you, and I enjoy getting all the "this free stuff is better than the last paid fertility course I took" messages in my inbox
If you want to claim the free guide, email hello@fabfertile.ca "10 DAY"
You will be impressed.

Do you have to have a diagnosis to work with you?
No a diagnosis is not necessary. Our focus is improving your health which optimizes preconception health.
Can I reduce my higher fsh level and how by taking which foods? Periods do not come without medicine
start the elimination diet (take out the top allergens for 10 days) and then systematically reintroduce foods - take out dairy/gluten for 60-90 days. We use testing to fast track so we can restore periods and fertility
@@sarahclark6554 Please help me, she will make me a diet chart. In the comment section, my FS has become very high, it has gone to 96. Please tell me which foods should I avoid and which should I add in my diet. Please help me.
Been married for 9 years, don't even have kids
❤ amazing thank you
glad it helped!
Would it be worth it to continue with supplements even though ovaries have shrunk? I’ll be 40 in January dx with POI at 35. In and out of perimenopause. I’ve seen several endocrinologist they all just say IVF, donor egg, adoption 😮💨
Is this psycho ofdering progesterone to be given to children???Insane
Fantastic episode!!! No other podcast or website has this crucial information I have been searching for thank you for taking the time to speak on this topic ❤
glad it was helpful!
If I hear her say uuummmmmm one more time I’m gonna lose it.
Im 44 with PMDD, my cycles are getting even more difficult and coming a week earlier now. I also want to conceive via egg donor in a few months. Im going to my Naturalpath about bio identical hormones this week.
yes bioidenticals can be part of the fertility toolkit
Perhaps she needs to do more research on Liver because the liver only processes toxins through the liver but they are not stored in the liver whatsoever! So yes we should always source our foods to the best of our abilities however there’s no fear of eating a liver full of toxins because it’s not a storage of toxins it’s a cleanser/converter and stores nutrients!!
What about those that are already in Menopause but still want to conceive? Can they still improve the low hormones?
it may not be menopause - we'd need to check your hormone levels
@sarahclark6554 I have low progestrone and low estrogen and my FSH is high based on the laboratory test results.
Great points Thank you 🙏 ❤
glad it helped!
What if im 28, i have pcos, high progesterone, but low estrogen? I have been trying baby for over 2 years with 0 pregnancy.
working on your health in a targeted manner can help balance hormones. Poor gut health, liver function and stress may be contributors.
Can low folate cause dry mouth
Very useful information if you watch it a million times as an average person to understand. One of the worst presentations i have ever watched.
I'm learning so much, thanx so much
glad it helped!

Good clinic and good doctor especially for women in age higher than 35 is a key - to many people like coaches making money from women who wants to be pregnant and wasting the time which is crucial
Anyone have recommendations for someone who would be considered high-risk pregnancy? My husband and I are TTC with a stressful corporate job for both of us and am trying to decide when and if I should leave or cutdown to part-time. However, my job's culture sucks and boss is a workaholic with no boundaries (tried setting but no change and emails at 7p, 11p, 1a, and ridiculous times). I am 32 with severe RA (will have to stop monthly infusions when pregnant) and hypothyroidism. I of course will be seeing a specialist but would love your input. Thanks!
I have question what sperm swim fastest male or female what one get to egg first . I always feel when i Have baby i feel it would be girl but i should i be very surprised ift egg choose boy YX chromosome not girl chromosome xx just i have feel it would be girl not boy
I was just told I’m in full menopause. I’m 35. I was told to not bother with my 10 day course of progesterone. Is this good advice?
Glad to see this!
Glad to see this!
Love your dress. So flattering on you.
Mam my age 26 my amh 0.02 I have nurtly pregnancy please reply mam please 😭😭😭😭
Can people who got needs and down syndrome and austim have baby and giving birth to them and carred them too?
Severe or persistent acne: ACCUTANE is the answer. Not whatever bullshit you're pushing here.
"10 day"
How many times a week do you hit the gym there sweetheart?
Are there any supplements to increase AMH levels and balances hormones?
the foundational supplements are methyl folate prenatal, omega, coq10, probiotic, vit d3/k2, magnesium. Anything else we'd recommend testing to make sure you're taking the right supplement for you. Otherwise if could be too much or not enough.
I had AMH 0.22, FSH 15 is there any hope for me to get it lower and higher? ❤
yes we see AMH and FSH improve all the time. We need to make targeted diet/lifestyle changes. If you're open to a 5 minute chat we can give options to help.
Thanx so much for the podcast
Our pleasure!
I have AMH:0.082 Fish:45 I have no periods Any way to conceive mam? My age 30
My AMH 0’07 FSH 20,20 33 years old Tried many ovaries stimulation cycles but only one made it to IVF. Negative Beta though. This is a nightmare.
I have some questions. Can you please give me some answers and tips #1. When I was 29 I took only one blood test which was a AMH blood test and my result was 0.034 ng!/ml and the fertility doctor throw in my face that I would never get pregnant naturally and that the only way to get pregnant is by using donor eggs. That doctor also said that my ovarian age is 50 and that I am in perimenopause.... I am obese BMI 42. I am 146 cm tall and I'm now 30 and I am terrified of the super low amh diagnosis. It felt like a death sentence and the doctor told me by text message the same information as above but the doctor apse texted me and said that I must hurry fast to do ivf with donor eggs because I don't have many eggs left and they are almost empty... I got very depressed because of that because me and my husband wants so badly to have a baby. Before that AMH blood test we got pregnant naturally after been trying for a 11 months but sadly we got a early chemical miscarriage at week 5. And we were so heart broken and then I took the AMH test in November of 2023 and only one month later December 2023 we became pregnant again naturally but lost that baby too by another 5 week chemical miscarriage. And then we got pregnant again naturally for the third time in February and lost that baby too at 4 weeks and 2 days due to being a chemical miscarriage again. So we had 3 back to back chemical miscarriages and me and my husband are losing hope of getting pregnant naturally again without having a chemical miscarriage again and I am stressed and worried about my ultra low amh. What can I do to increase my low AMH and egg quality and egg 1 quantity and become pregnant naturally again? What can I do to become pregnant again without having repeated chemical miscarriages? If a person has a diagnosis of a AMH of 0.034 ng /ml how many eggs are then remaining in the ovaries? The doctor did not do a FSH test or anything else. The doctor also said that my husbands semen was looking weirdly shaped and swimming slow and he has low motility. But the doctor said this to us by doing one semen sample
Dear right now, would you pregnant or baby ?
What is the advice?
Hello Doc, I was diagnosed with POI 3months ago.. Would you recommend Birth Control or HRT? If you want to get pregnant
bioidentical hormones can help with symptoms but making targeted diet/lifestyle changes is what helps to improve pregnancy success. We've helped lots of people with POI get pregnant with their own eggs
Should you take Provera if you are bleeding heavy ?
Yes my mom was super anxious and she was abused long ago and my dad abused me and caused severe anxiety
I don't see your Link for your castor pack
How can I lower it
Good info. Thanks for sharing. Strongly agree that Synthetic Folic Acid can be a cause of chronic pregnancy losses. Many people cannot tolerate it. They have to actually eat vegetables or buy the Methylfolate version. I’ve seen Dr Ben Lynch also talk about the negative side effects of synthetic folic acid.

I love this
DHEA is bad for us
Very bad for us! That's why our body stops making it.
This was helpful, thank you! I’ve had 4 miscarriages: #1 I didn’t collect the tissue, #2 had two chromosomal abnormalities (monosomy X and trisomy 5), #3 had one chromosomal abnormality (trisomy 22), and #4 had normal chromosomes. I tested slightly positive for one of the things they tested for in the clotting disorder workup- and the plan was to retest in X amount of time. I got pregnant again, and then I got retested- again slightly positive. That was baby/miscarriage #4. Went to the IVF place to see what advice they could give for recurrent miscarriage and they did a bunch of tests too. Turns out I’m heterozygous for Factor II. Talking to a maternal fetal medicine doc in the morning (and a Hemotologist next month) and just trying to research as much as possible before those conversations!!
Sorry for your loss. Ensure you have proper nutrition and nutrients i.e. B vitamins (B6/B12) and omega's are key. We have genetic testing that we use to help to support methylation pathways to improve pregnancy outcomes.
I'm so sorry. I know your pain. I had my 4th miscarriage in July just gone ( 4th miscarriage in 1 year and 9 months). I've done so many tests, gynaecologist says there are no issues with me. I've been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis since 2020, and a recent blood test done by the Rheumatology clinic found I may have the lupus anticoagulant antibody. A quick Google search, and I found it often leads to reoccurrent Miscarriages! Hopefully, this is some sort of answer to my pain and can help with finding a treatment so that I can stay pregnant.
@sarahclark6554 Hi Are you able to suggest any any particular meals or ingredients pls?
@@jls141992 my maternal fetal medicine doc said that if I have a RA flare around time of conception/ early pregnancy, then I’m 2-3 times more likely to miscarry! He also said if it VERY important to get and keep my RA under control before and during pregnancy, as the extra inflammation of a flare during pregnancy could harm baby (ie stillborn, increased risks of other problems). My Mom passed in March 2024 and that extra stress had made my RA flare a LOT between then and now. Finally (as of 2 weeks ago) I feel like I’m not flaring anymore. Our goal is to get 2 to 3 months out from *my last flare up* (even if that means restarting the countdown) to start trying again. I’m SO SORRY that you had to go through so many losses too. It sucks. God Willing next baby will stick and be healthy!
Soooo important ❤
thank you! Agree! Nutrition is so important for fertility
Great informatoin. Thank you
