Thanks for watching. It really is. It's quite an impressive project. I just wish they were more open with their plans and work.

You have hit the nail on the head - building across a wide range of infrastructures. That's precisely why it's costing so much and why it is taking so long. There are thousands of unknown planning conditions to satisfy, thousands of services diversions and highway alterations. .

This is a really good point. They're struggling in places to go under, over and around a lot of this existing active and old infrastructure. They can do it, it's just time consuming I suppose. That and the lack of project understanding on site. I was at a bridge location last week and the site team.were telling me the line was going over the A43. I said it was going UNDER, they disagreed then U showed the official HS2 promo video how it's going under, and he was shocked. Their internal communication is abysmal so no wonder so many complain about the project because their external comms is even worse.
