Thanks for pointing out this list is purely subjective. Some of the languages on here, most would not include in a top 15 but it's nice hearing a fresh perspective.

I've wrote some more things in the description to answer a bit the first two questions. I didn't think aboout why Mauritania would rise to such power. The ottomans would be a christian (orthodox) empire, I wasn't sure but I decided to leave it.

There are several species of flying frogs. About reptiles you can find gliding snakes (really cool to see), gliding geckos and flying dragons, which are lizard species with a really cool name.
