    I know this is 10 years old lol but does your hydraulic motor have a case drain that you left plugged? If so any issues?

    I finally found a beat up 72” bush hog, I’ll order all my parts from the surplus center tomorrow. Where did you find that U joint coupler with the shear pin? That’s what I need for The 1 3/8” shaft on the gear box of the bush hog. Thanks for your video it is the best one on TH-cam and I looked as a lot.

    Well it's been 7 years still have my original motor! I've had too keep all screws holding motor snug little loctite. I've electric taped base too keep stuff off of it. I clean steel plate 1 time a year too keep gate closing tight.also when im up I stop and down I stop I don't push actuator hard!

    Yo, how long did this last for you? I am wanting to do the same thing but the reviews for the actuators aren't great that I am seeing. Thanks.

    Looks great! What did you use for the quiet close? Do you have any plans or links to parts?

    • @jayhansen5544
      @jayhansen5544 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They're just drawer quiet closes that you can get at Menards hardware store. unfortunately where I had to kind of sneak them at the bottom I needed four of them for the amount of torque that the lid and the arm puts on them. All the bracketry that attach too the bearings. I fabricated out of metal.bearings roll on lid opening and closing.

    Been watching a few of these conversions as I want to do this to my mower. One guy opened up the front of the mower to more readily accept what it was cutting and the brush and weeds being cut were less bent over making for a more quicker and efficient cut. Basically fishmouthed the opening as you drive forward. Love the idea you have shared.
