7:52 Unstoppable Rage is my answer. Worse than Workshop, Paarthurnax, and A. Guardian shenanigans. Utterly, filthily broken. The only good thing about the game ending is, I won't have to deal with Unstoppable Rage ever again.

The first death mark was when SparkyPants took over. A lot of cards got gutted and nerfed too. Regardless, for invade all they needed to do was make the buff activate every other invade. With everything costing 1 gold, thus making everything available, then they could make it a single player and offline game like minesweeper.

This game got me through some of the roughest patches of my life - through injuries, illness, loss, and sorrow. I'm gonna miss it so much. My favorite memory: when they used to release bonus cards outside of sets, some random programmer from Direwolf did the voices for them. They're really funny and they really stick out (no offense- those guys design games; they're not voice actors). Dushnikh Yal Archer is a prime example. That is not the sound of an orc. I think they made that same poor guy do a few of them.

During the civil war i really felt bad for the empire cuz they dont like the aldmeri dominion, and talos was highly revered before the concordance and they new that the aldmeri wanted the civil war to happen to destabilize the empire by pitting two countries which were once strong allies against each other. Thus making their inevitable victory more likely and actually diminishing the chance talos would come back into worship as the aldmeri know worship creates and gives power to gods. But you can see how ulfric was short sighted about this buy understand the hurt because what he fought for was signed away.

Incredible quality in presentation and research. Good GOD I wish the games actually featured or at least mentioned half this stuff in some way.

I find this unfortunate news incomprehensible. It would have been even better if they had made it a paid service. I think everyone would have paid a few dollars a month for it! 😞😭

Sad to see the game shut down even if I barely played every once in a while the past 6-7 years. My strongest memory is when I saw my name and decklist at bethesdanet (undefeated 12-0 Grand Melee runs got posted). It got popular on legends-decks as well. Being just a casual player it felt so nice to be on these pages. Looking back I had my best times on CVH's and MattOblivium stream during and after open beta, learning the meta and how to play better. Later on grinding all the titles and figuring out the best decks to complete them; enjoying the fun madness of Solo and especially Chaos Arena (which they removed sadly). Watching DragonTamerBlayde's face light up playing my Slay Archer finding out a way to win in one turn. I'm grateful for all these great memories that will stick with me regardless of the game itself. Also it was really nice of them to make everything 1 gold in the store. It's just the perfect way to make everything free while giving you the option to enjoy opening up loot. If only they would bring back Chaos Arena! Either way, thank you Legends, it was fun, one of the best games ever created.

I think the issue with looking at Miraak’s claims from the perspective of history is that history is written by people with imperfect knowledge. Elder Scrolls lore is written by people with omnipotent knowledge, because they created the universe. It’s like, supposing for a moment that God is real, he wrote a book on the history of the world. I think we would just sort of have to take it at face value, because he made the world. He knows.

whoever came up with ‘hist tree’ needs to be put in the same camp as the person who came up with ‘elsweyr’

My favorite memory of this game is when I first found out it existed like a year ago. I am a huge elder scrolls fan and im so mad at myself for not finding this amazing game sooner. This game was for me the perfect card game set in my favorite universe. It will be missed <3

Man so many memories, never made it to legend but was really close to getting into that official tournament finals, got beaten by the #1 spanish player, my best win was againts the champion of that tournament in one of those monthly gauntlet, i was matched with him and thought my run was over, but againts all odds i won and got my 12th win, also used to run a channel with guides of how to beat all the story chapters with budget decks (no epic nor legendaries) on hard mode, i also remember getting a rush of joy when i saw TheJustinLarson suscribed to my channel and that pushed me to keep doing it and even contemplating doing decklist showcases or just regular gameplay on stream, and then they dropped the bomb of maintenance mode and welp… gonna miss this game, if an unofficial release comes out i’ll join in a heartbeat.

I used it to wake up and go to sleep. Family would watch me play and learned it from watching me play. I got the notice it was going away and uninstalled. Sucks.

I think Rykard is also some kind of prisoner. As his voice line while he dies is „No one will hold me captive“. When the Area is reset the left half of his face such as his left eye, is missing as well. No clue how this fits but I thought i could bring it up.

Perhaps I’m missing something….but while you demonstrated a bunch of characters are prisoners of some sort and are missing an eye, how does that tie back to the prisoner select character you opened the video with? What is the significance of the missing eye to their prisoner status?

This is sad man, I never played any CCG besides this one and never played any other Elder Scrolls games. I tried Heart Stone but I didn’t really like the gameplay nor the artwork. I hope there’s another company that will try to recreate something similar to this one day where you can buy actual packs with codes that you could use online just like Pokemon or Dragon Balls. That would be a good way to pay for the servers and whatnot.

2 favorite memories I watched all of Justin Larsons videos and I got to interact with him a bit because of it through comments. In 2018 he shouted me out on my birthday in a shadow-archer style deck video. My other favorite memory would be dropping a red year with ancano on the board and barely winning a match I had absolutely no business winning. Putting this game on PlayStation would save it from dying in my opinion.

For what it's worth you are the reason I started playing ESL again. It's just a shame it was a few weeks before the announcement.

Honestly kind of tragic. Never really considered myself apart of the community but I play this game often as a pastime. I usually play an exalt deck cause I think the tribunal gods are just cool. Win or lose I just enjoyed the mechanics of the game. Kind of sad to see it go, I never watched TH-cam on best decks or anything. I just played because it was fun.

My favorite memory of TESL is actually while playing MTG. We'd do games of Commander with 5 or 6 people. Turn rotations could easily be over 20 minutes. Somebody would see me looking down at my phone (not on my turn of course) and everyone would start hooting, hollering, and booing. They enjoyed teasing me for playing TESL. I enjoyed telling them about the insane and totally off meta combo decks I would build. Ring of Namira, Ebonheart Oracle, Dawnstar Healer forever!
