Is this a good kit for beginner modelers?

VERY nice build ! But what are all those gaps for in the upper hull that you Had to fill in ?

Great build. Built one of these a couple of years ago. Certainly not to your standard. The tail on mine seemed more on the port side than the centre not sure why.

I just found your channel by doing a TH-cam search for scale models. Great looking Fighting Falcon build, nice detail work for a 1/72 scale. New subscriber!!

Excellent paint job and well constructed!! You are, however, missing the armor plate behind the pilots head that attaches to the canopy. This is no doubt because Airfix has seen fit to exclude this part from the kit altogether. Their E-3 has a similar problem. Airfix does not give you the right canopy to build the E-3 version. They give you the E-4 canopy instead. Even the part number is the same in both kits!!! A very glaring error by Airfix. What say you Airfix, can you be bothered to fix your errors?????

I'm on the verge of painting, and after going over many options, I had just decided to paint this very same miniature for my very first (one blindbox was gifted to me). I know I have a lot to learn and a lot of experience still to gain, but thank you for your detailed process. I never knew gold leafing could stand up to masking. How long did it take for the leafing to set up?

I’ve never heard the term paper board. Might that be poster board, or is this some kind of special product?

Nice work and a fun watch! Not a criticism, but a question. I’ve noticed the command module, in RL pictures, has a silver, reflective glossy surface. I’ve watched many videos of other models, and they all have grey as the color. Is there no reflective/shiny finishes that are available?

Fantastic detailing but why on earth did you choose the wrong colors? The standard Harrier scheme is topside FS 36118, sides are FS 36231 and underside FS 36320.

How do you work around damaging the fresh paint while using tweezers and blade to remove masking tape?

Cool masking trick with the shoulders to get the checker pattern.
